for peace, it was no more 

before she could react, the earth shook, tossing those who were on it about. Fortunately, jaytin was in the air, or she would have been severely shocked by it as well. She could see that some of the buildings looked liked they were going to fall, but ignored them. She would need to evacuate those who lived in them soon, but not now. maybe a few moments while she assessed the situation. 

no one seemed too badly injured, depending on what the definition for badly injured was. a few pokemon were elling at each other, but most of the attention was on the huge beast. soon enough, though, her attention was dragged to a jet-black sneasel, who suggested that they could hold off the monster while those who needed to escaped. Like they could hold off that thing alone! he seemed strong, sure, but not that strong. if he wasn't careful, he would be crushed. 

"You can't be senile enough to believe you can hold it off yourself!" She shrieked, worried that he wouldn't be able to hear her. "but those that can't fight should leave!" Her speed boost was still there, though she would tire quickly and not be able to keep it up. She had to act. draw the monster's attention as far away as possible. "JUst get it out of the town, get it away from any residents!" She screamed down at the fighters and those who were airborne. she launched herself at the druddigon, planning to tackle it, though she knew she would do little to it. "Hey, stupid big fellow, how about you go back to where you came from?" She yelled, though she didn't think he would understand. all she knew for certain about it was that it was crazy.

[Maximus]

Max wasn't what you'd call a "light sleeper".

His parents, bless their hearts, had told him time and time again that he never woke up when they called, no matter how they yelled or poked or shook. In fact, doing any three of those things would more often than not just make him snore louder (somehow!). And his parents, bless their hearts, used to joke about how the only thing that could get him up in the morning was some sort of natural disaster raining hellfire on his sleeping place.

Like, say, an earthquake.

And oh, boy, did it wake him up.

It was the rumbling that roused him from his slumber; it was the sharp sound of cracking wood and stone that made his eyes fly open. Then, after that, it was the sensation of pieces of rubble falling on top of him from the ceiling that made him realize just how dangerous a situation this was in.

Maximus scrambled upright with a cry. "Wh-what the hell's going on?" When the only answer came from the groan of the guild building, he whipped his head around to where Koshi and Julia's nests were. "Guys?"

...Empty.

"Guys!"

Where... where were they??? Why hadn't they waken him up (easy there, Max, they tried)??? Had they abandoned him to the elements, ready and willing to sacrifice him to the powers that be?

No. No. No, no no no. That couldn't be it. Maybe they'd just fled the building in a panic. Maybe they hadn't known that Max was still asleep. Somehow. But his team wouldn't just abandon him... right?

Right.

Well, whatever the case, right now he had to get out of here. With a gulp, Max fled the building, stumbling on unsteady feet as they fought against the violent rumbling of the earth. He'd explored the guild enough times by now that he knew exactly where the nearest exit was, thank god, and it wasn't terribly long before he burst through the door and--

And. And. And what the hell was going on.

It was all he could do to stand there and gape at the scene stretching before him: an entire mob of Pokemon were fighting against a single foe amid chaos and terror. Max could hear screaming, and shouts, and the cries of Pokemon ushering the others to safety... but what he heard above the rest was this terrible ear-splitting roar. It made his blood run cold every time he heard it, and it didn't take him long to realize its source.

Was... was it terrorizing the town? That one Pokemon? Was it trying to tear Andalusst apart, and bring misery and death to its citizens under its iron rule?

Did it need to be vanquished?

Because Max was an Explorer. And Explorers vanquished evil.

A rush of nervous energy surged through him. That's right. If he ever expected to become the best Explorer in the world, he would have to face enemies like these without fear or hesitation. He'd have to be strong and defend the weak, and deal justice to those who would disturb the peace. That was what being an Explorer was. And that was the kind of Explorer Max was gonna become one day.

He found himself surging forward without even thinking, his feet carrying him towards the Town Square. The closer he got, the more details he could pick out about the scene in front of him. The Bad Guy was a Druddigon, and there was something not quite right about it; it seemed crazed and desperate for blood. And he could pick out Koshi and Julia in the crowd, defending the town from the rogue Druddigon. Max sped up.

Before long he was within leaping distance. The Druddigon had its back turned to him--the perfect opportunity for a surprise attack!

"Take this!" With a yell, Maximus jumped straight for the other Pokemon's wings, opening his mouth wide in the process. Electricity crackled at his lips, and it was only a split second before he clamped his jaws shut.

MAXIMUS used THUNDER FANG!

[Aloise]

Ohhhh myyyyy goooood. What was it now.

Aloise made her way down the alleyway, towards whatever commotion had scared her scheduled client away before they'd paid. She was in a decidedly ugly mood--she'd been up all day the day before and hadn't gotten any sleep while waiting for the client. She'd reasoned that the new lining in her pockets after the appointment would make up for the exhaustion, but now something just had to up and scare the customer away, thus scaring her money away.

Understandably, Aloise wanted answers. And she was gonna get some.

Or rather, that's what she thought she was gonna do, until she rounded the corner and saw the commotion at the Town Square.

Pokemon. Everywhere. Fighting each other--no. Fighting with each other. Against... was that a Druddigon? And particularly angry one, at that.

What exactly was anyone trying to accomplish here? What had even started it? Some tavern dispute? Or a mafia dealing gone sour? Whatever it was, the Druddigon was on an absolute rampage, and--despite the other Pokemon's sheer numbers--it seemed to be holding its own against the onslaught.

Better not get tangled in that. The Cottonee took a step back into the shadows, keeping an eye on the proceedings. She certainly valued her life enough to not jump into the fray--at least, not right away, before she'd had a chance to assess the situation to its fullest. There was no telling what could happen, after all. And uncertainties were not high on Aloise's list of favorite things.

[Cloud]

As the Druggidon shook him about, Cloud held on for as long as his patience for being flung around like a ragdoll would allow, Which was a surprisingly long time. When he had finally let go, Cloud landed rather hard on the ground. While it hurt a little, Cloud expected this and prepared himself for the landing. It was the smart thing to do after clinging onto him by the literal skin of his teeth. However, what he didn’t expect was the ground to violently shake, causing pain to surge through him.

Even though he should be definitely be wide awake after taking noticeable damage, Cloud still looked as if he had just got out of bed. Looking around, he saw that many of the other Pokemon had taken a lot of damage as well from the earth shattering attack. When he returned his focus to the fog riddled beast, he saw a rather brave - though others might say stupid- Tyrunt biting him with electrified teeth. The gears turned in his head until the Sandile sleepily muttered aloud ”Oh right. I know that move too.” he then walked up to the Druggidon’s tail and repeated the yawing motion. Only this time, sparks of electricity formed around his jaw before he slammed it down onto the tail, hoping to stay on for a long time.

[Roamer]

Roamer winced at the rough skin of the Druddigon, holding onto his paws and inspecting his nail. If he ever were a female- he would have probably insulted the dragon pokémon for breaking a nail.
The Charmander noticed Vanitas briefly nodding at him, and the fire pokémon blushed at that. He didn't get attention like that often, and even though his Metal Claw had been weak it still managed to do something right?

Wrong.
The entire village began to share as the Druddigon began using Earthquake, Roamer stumbled back and forth before tumbling over and receiving quite the amount of damage. The Charmander whimpered, his paw feverishly trying to find his pouch.. but then he realized- "Oh- I left my items at home!" Well, shoot. He couldn't heal himself right now.

Roamer slowly got up, holding his injured arm as he faced the Druddigon again. He wouldn't make physical contact because of that rough skin now.

The Charmander started summoning up flames inside his mouth, and then spewed an ember at the Druddigon.

Raimo was swung away by the giant dragon, as his body connected to the ground the Riolu grunted. "Oof.." It did hurt a little, that rough skin. But it was nothing unbearable. Maybe they could--

The ground started shaking, and he noticed all the pokémon on the ground stumbling and falling. Raimo fell as well, receiving a decent amount of damage. "Damn." He cursed, slowly getting up to his feet.
Another blaze kick was out of question, the Druddigon would just smack him into pulp.
What could he do? A quick attack wouldn't deal as much, and Poison Jab would hurt himself too.

Raimo chose that Endure was the best for now, just in case the Druddigon would go for him. At least he would survive the killing blow.. right?

For peace, was no more Selena Used Growl again Words-176 When the Druddigon began to laugh at her attempt to get him to back down, Selena’s pride was hurt a little. It wasn’t her fault she was gifted with such amazingly cute features. Damn her kitten like voice! It was both her blessing and curse! She would have to make sure to get payback for this. She can be threatening and she would not let the brute that was dumb enough to get lost in the fog prove her otherwise. As she got ready to attack, Selena began to feel the ground shake. As it shook, her thought process went from “I’m going to kill him” to “Oh dear Arceus, please make it stop”. It was made perfectly clear to her that going up and attacking it was the last thing she should be doing right now, Backing off, she made sure to keep her feet planted firmly on the ground as she let out another growl, hoping that this would work. She wasn’t too sure that she could take another attack like that one again.

Katey saw bird Pokemon whoop past her, and she soon came to found that it was Jaytin, the first one to visit her shop. Jaytin was trying to figure out why the heck Katey was trying to talk to that thing, but Katey had no words to say, and soon enough, the ground began to shake. Then it shook more, and more, and more. It left Katey all wobbly and off guard. Quickly she reached into her bag and grabbed her Oran Berry, almost instantly eating it, before she realized, "Shoot! I was supposed to be saving that for the ice types...." Katey looked around at the ice Pokemon. Seems like their handling themselves alright, I bet I can just let them be...

Katey finished eating the berry and then looked up at the dragon Pokemon. "Guys, I.... I don't think I can kill this thing! It doesn't deserve to die! It can't even control all aspects of it's brain!" Katey really doubted anyone would care what she said, because hey, this thing was attacking their city. No way they were gonna let this thing damage buildings and hurt people.

Katey thought about what she could do, but honestly she had no idea in the world what to do. They needed... No, she needed... A way to stop this thing from wrecking buildings, but while keeping it alive. Maybe if they could figure out how to cure this one, maybe they could cure everyone that anyone had lost in the fog....

Although Katey had never lost any of her parents to the fog, she had talked to many people who had. It was always a devastating story to Katey, whenever anyone told her how there 'brother', or their 'father', or their 'best friend' got lost in the fog....

Not her parents or siblings, but Katey did lose a good friend to the fog. One friend that was just too brave, and over confident. Confidence was always a great thing, but to a certain extent... The brave friend of hers that was a Totodile had charged in with out a second thought, a month of his dad went in. His name was Jake, and he was only slightly younger than Katey, when he went into the fog two years ago.

Katey didn't know is she could handle seeing Jake how this dragon was right now. That was why Katey needed to use this Pokemon to help find a cure, as well as save it and all the other fogged Pokemon, any and all. Because they didn't deserve to be like that.

Katey decided she would try talking to it again, cause she knew there was a chance that it could still sense it's brain and such... Maybe Katey just needed to be louder or more meaningful? "If you're in there, I want you to know something. I know this isn't you, and.... dramatic pause.... Well, Katey didn't know what to say to it. "and... I need you to stop doing this. I know you don't want to do this, and I know you think you can't control it. Just try, really try..." Katey felt as if she was going to cry when she said that, because of the poor innocent Pokemon in there, just like Jake. These people were going to kill it without even thinking about any of that.

Katey didn't even know who it even was, and it was destroying her town, and yet Katey is thinking about saving it.

But at the same time, everyone else must know by now that it's not it's fault... Maybe Katey could try talking to them about it, maybe get some help? Katey still needed an idea on how to keep it alive, but nothing was streaming from her head at this point, besides things that they didn't have.

They didn't have a jail to put it in. There was no way they could like chain it, it was too big and what would stop it from causing massive earthquakes.... Maybe... maybe if we could let it live somehow in the forest? No, no, no, no, no..... Katey just wanted to rip out all of her hair and fur at this point. This thing was probably going to die while Katey tried to think about a plan.

Katey turned to face all of the Pokemon, and needed there help to think of something. So she had to speak infront of all of them. "Look you guys. Inside this monster is a helpless Pokemon that can't do anything to fight what is happening to it. The same way as all the other Pokemon in dungeons that you adventure in, the same like your friends you lose. I don't think I can bring myself to killing an innocent soul like this. But maybe, if we found some way to keep it alive and maybe running some tests on it, we can figure out how to cure all of the people we have lost in the fog... We can't kill this thing guys. Does anyone have any ideas?" Katey waited for a response, but then said: "Guys I lost a friend to this fog, a great friend, one of my only friends... And I would do anything in my power to bring him back, as long as he's not in that state, and... Well as long as I don't have to hurt anyone. I have a feeling you guys could relate? But I still have no idea how to stop this thing from rampaging while keeping it alive..."

Of course, Katey knew she probably sounded like an idiot. But Katey hoped what she said was for the better, cause she needed an idea on how to keep it alive. Hopefully someone else had some brilliant idea and would be willing to help....

But Katey knew all of the people would most likely not listen to her. They would probably kill the poor thing anyways, and Katey would act happy with the rest of the group. Although that would be one of the times she genuinly would not be happy. She knew probably half of the people here had lost someone to the fog...

Or maybe Katey just wasn't being rational, her first time on the battle field. But either way, she wanted to save Jake. She wanted her best friend back, seeing that Pokemon can come out of the fog and find their way back, just like this one did. But now, Katey would need some way of curing him....

SUMMARY: Katey asks for help from the other Pokemon on keeping it alive, because she knew other Pokemon had lost people to the fog just like Katey, who had lost her best friend Jake the totodile to the fog 2 years ago.

Holly swerved around, gaining altitude as she took a moment to gauge all the pokemon massing around her and the fight. It seemed as though this Druddigon had stirred up quite the ruckus... she had never seen so many battlers in one area before. The bat frowned slightly - this would only end in disaster for the area. Reminding herself to make a mental note not to come here for breakfast the next day, Holly folded in her wings and dove, letting out a loud sound that hopefully only her enemy could hear. They had to end this soon, or else risk the entire town square being destroyed. Why could no one else see that? Holly looked at the chaos reigning around her and shook her head.

Idiots.

She made sure to pull up quickly after her attack, uneager to gain the attention of the monster. Best safe than sorry.

Holly uses SUPERSONIC

[Pascal]

Pascal let out a twittering laugh as the angry druddigon shook the earth around him and pokemon and buildings alike stumbled and shook. What good was an earthquake against his wings? He took a few moments to soar circles in the sky, a victory lap of sorts, twittering his amusement. He cared not for these other pokemon or this area, so the damage to the rest of the group didn't bother him none, it just meant that the druddigon wasn't attacking him!

But he supposed he should thank all these pokemon for being meat shields, of sorts. So Pascal clacked his beak once again at the opponent, his own cutesy imitation of a growl, zooming in close to look fierce before hurriedly flapping his wings to gain alttude again, returning to the relative safety of the sky, where no earthquake could bother him and he was basically home free! This battle was a piece of cake.

So this little spider was minding her own business just outside town when a large menacing looking dragon came charging through. And it was heading towards town! No time to lose she ran towards the town as fast as she could, but she wasn't fast enough to make it in time before the actual battle began. She knew it was trouble! Just hold out a little longer village, Alice was underway. Like she could actually face that monstrous looking pokémon. Still that was no reason to stop, if nobody stopped it then it would destroy the town. The only thing she could hope was that she wasn't alone in facing it.

As she arrived in town she could feel the ground shake under her, but since she was out of range of that attack she decided it might be best to hang back and offer support. She climbed on a smaller building and fired her thunder wave at the dragon that was thrashing around town.


Alice used thunder wave.

[Ranulfr]

Ranulfr watched the pokémon stumble and fall, some even crying out in pain.. the Druddigon showed a wicked grin, indicating that he was rather enjoying their suffering.
Vanitas shouted at the pokémon hit by the earthquake, telling them to take cover. That was actually pretty courageous from the Sneasel!
Vanitas equipped his Power Band, and then dashed towards Ranulfr for another Ice Punch right on his arm!

The Druddigon screamed as his arm was frozen in ice, he tried defrosting it.. but.. he got distracted by @nixnight growling at him. It looked so pathetic that Ranulfr started laughing- the ice shattering from his arm. However.. he did feel the change in muscles again.. what were those growls doing to him?

Two new contestants arrived! It was Elysia the Shinx! Ranulfr didn't see her at first, but he certainly did feel a tickling sensation on one of his body parts.
The Druddigon looked down, still seeing double from his confused state. He noticed two Elysia's biting him, teeth sizzling with electricity, and he wildly swung his arm up in the air in hope the Shinx would let go of him.

The second contestant was Silvain the Houndour! The fire puppy used his Ember on Ranulfr, but it didn't really deal much damage did it? It simply made his scales shine a little bit more. But- it still dealt mediocre damage.

Ah.. the sleeping Ryleh finally joined the battle.. or is it simply to tell everyone to shut up and go to bed? Ranulfr couldn't tell the difference.
However, the Inkay suddenly disappeared as he used camouflage.. Ryleh's type changed to ground!

Noticing the tiny egg writhe in pain, Ranulfr couldn't help but laugh, however Julia quickly picked herself up and started insulting him! Well, that was uncalled for?! Not that he understood.. anyway..
The Togepi then started swinging her little stubby arms around.. and suddenly a giant stream of water emerged.
Julia used Hydro Pump! It dealt some damage!

Ranulfr staggered at the force of the Hydro Pump, his feet stomping on the ground creating a few more small Earthquakes that would not deal any damage.

Olaf tried to reason with his fellow teammates, ending up to use another Powder Snow. Ranulfr roared, staggering once again as this attack was super effective!

The Druddigon was certainly feeling it now.. the little pipsqueaks were starting to hurt him! Even for a little..
He had to- ZZZZZZAP!
Domino struck him with a thundershock, Ranulfr cried out again, but then shook off Olaf's cold and Domino's electricity that was sizzling around his body.

Ranulfr is getting angry..

Tinair then spewed another Dragon Breath at him, Ranulfr tried to dodge it but.. he couldn't. He was hit full on.
The poor Druddigon had to endure a lot, didn't he? But all these mediocre attacks.. some did actually hurt him a bit, but some of them were just ridiculous.

Jaytin started screaming at Ranulfr, but he couldn't understand the words. She then tackled him, which earned a laugh from Ranulfr. That was pretty weak.

However, there was another contestant, who had been sleeping up until the Eartquake. It was Maximus !
Ranulfr felt another tickling sensation, this time on his wings. As he turned to look, he noticed a Tyrunt simply dangling there like a little dog with rabies.
The Druddigon growled, but this certainly hurt a bit more than the Shinx' thunder fang..

Ranulfr shook off the Tyrunt with ease, awaiting more incoming attacks. Aloise decided to hide out the round. 

Cloud then copied the Tyrunt's move by also using Thunder Fang. Why did these pokémon bite him so many times?! He wasn't a chew toy!

While Ranulfr was busy shaking off yet another biter, Roamer spewed Ember on Ranulfr, the Druddigon laughed as he threw the Sandile into the air with a swing of his tail. 
So pitiful, it was almost sad to watch one of them kick the bucket. 

Raimo decided to use Endure! 

Selena then growled at him again, making Ranulfr roar back at her. However, growls effect on Ranulfr hit. 

Katey used an Oran Berry and healed 10 HP! The Eevee's dialogue did not faze the Druddigon at all. Did this pokémon even have a heart? Was he too far corrupted? 

Holly used Supersonic! But Ranulfr was already confused!!

Pascal  pillowbird used growl! Ranulfr's attack lowered!

A new contestant! alice joined the battle and used Thunderwave! However Ranulfr wasn't paralyzed this turn.

Because of Ranulfr's Rough Skin Ability, the following pokémon receive 1 damage!! Vanitas , Elysia , Jaytin , Maximus , Cloud

Druddigon is confused....! But it failed.
Ranulfr's eyes started glowing red and his body is outlined in a red aura. He then grabbed the closest enemy he could find, which happened to be Maximus !
The Druddigon started smacking him around in an OUTRAGE!

Just stay hidden, and you'll be fine!

 

The little Emolga continued to keep her distance from the giant beast despite all of the Pokemon crying and screaming in pain from the gargantuan Pokemon’s attack. Domino felt a lump on her throat after unleashing her ThunderShock. The anger that emitted from the dragon was strong, and it didn’t ease her nerves knowing that she helped get him to that point. Swallowing the lump, Domino peered around the corner of the building once again and felt her whole body shake with anticipation. She started attacking a Pokemon that could swallow her up in one bit.

The sheer number of Pokemon attacks would put anyone in a bad mood. But not everyone was a dragon of impossible height like this Druddigon was. Returning to her position, Domino had to admit one thing to herself: she was almost completely powerless. Heck, she hated to think of how she would feel if she was willing to help these fools, because what good would she even do? Here was a monster rampaging and all she wanted to do was sleep, but there was nothing she could really do about it.

To her relief, though, the monster continued to be distracted by all those who relentlessly pursued the end of this monster’s horrific struggle for destruction. However, it was clear that these Pokemon were all struggling so much more than the dragon was. Even some of the bigger Pokemon, like another big dinosaur, a Tyrunt, were having trouble facing the behemoth.

It was clear that even making physical contact with the foes caused some pain, so Domino had the right idea keeping her distance and staying out of sight. But she knew if she kept shocking from this general area, she’d be sought out eventually. For now, she scurried to the other side of the building and repeated her strategy at the dragon, hoping he wouldn’t notice her. Electricity bolted at the monster again, and returned to her hiding place, keeping an eye out for another place to run to should things get scary.

DOMINO USED THUNDERSHOCK!

There was a brief comment fueled with hubris, likely by some sort of renegade pokemon, which he did not pay much mind. This was not a a free for all, this was a team effort. If you were only here for yourself and not give a darn about anything else then Van wanted those individuals to get lost. They did not need any loners that wanted to proof something to themselves or others; he wanted companions who would cover each others back.

And while he could not hear Jaytin , he still had doubts about what he was doing here. he could definetly not fend this beast off all by himself. He without a doubt needed some sort of backup, be it through status effects against the beast or supporting. And at least in the former, his allies provided. Roamer was contributing his part as well as he could, though Van was worried about his injured friend. 

And while it might sound cold, Van was not concerned about this beasts vitality. The fog did terrible things to everyone succumbing to it, and while it unfair, he could not allow this monster to destroy this safe haven nor its inhabitants. if it meant it would not disappear in a puff of smoke but actually would have to perish... then he would do the final attack, even if it meant being a monster in the eyes of the others. Still... he hoped a peaceful solution was possible after all. Forcing himself not to listen to Katey  , he continued his attack.



His Ice Punch move had been super effective, causing frost to engulf parts of its arms. Landing a couple meters away from the monsters, he splayed his talons yet again and observed the beast's next actions while the ice energy within Van surged towards his talons. It was fighting off all the other defenders who were assaulting it continously, so it would not even get a chance to move or attack. A sneaky... but effective strategy. Kind of deserved it though, since its tough skin once again made Van's hand hurt. But he was still in top shape and eager for round 3 and beyond.

Van was shocked when to see Maximus  smacked by the beast like a punching bag, causing the pokemon, who was a stranger to the Sneasel, to faint. How savage, and it aggravated Van that he was not there in time to help. He had told the weaker pokemons to stay back, but they did not listen. "Why don't you mess with someone your own size?!" He bawled at the Druddigon, before once again sprinting towards it to attack it with an Ice Punch, this time against its left leg.

Perhabs if Van could take away its ability to stand straight... this fight could end sooner than later.

I know what you don't know

TINAIR DIDN'T REALLY SEE WHAT HAPPENED AFTER SHE BLASTED THE MONSTER WITH ALL THAT POWER. IT WAS ALL MOST CHAOS. USUALLY, SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN GLAD OF IT, BUT THIS WAS MORE REAL THAN USUAL. all those creatures were rushing to attack the druddigon as fast as possible, so she slid back as fast as possible. if this continued, someone was going to get hurt, and she didn't wan to be the one, either.

it wasn't her who fainted first, fortunately, but a stranger, who seemed to have been far too close to the creature they were fighting. this was the largest reason why the dratini preferred to watch from a distance. get too close and be crushed.

her dragon breath was doing a little, but not much. remembering the misdresvus she had once fought, tin decided that it was clearly not enough. she would have to try harder. summoning up all her power, she blasted at the other dragon-like creature again. but it wasn't just a dragon breath she summoned.

a larger, brighter ray shot out, taking more from her body than she had wanted the attack to. almost instantly, her body felt droopy, out of energy. what had happened? not even pausing to see if she had hit the creature or not, she slithered behind the great big kangashkan that seemed quite close to her. "No trouble from me, miss, jus' hide me for a while, will ya?" Tinair mumbled unclearly. her energy was almost fully gone, and she wouldn't stand a chance against the monster she was fighting right now. she had done what she can. now, she was going to hide.
