He could not believe it as he lied there on the ground, defeated by himself. He was infuriated, yet also felt like heaving. How... was this is even realistic in any way? This had been preposterous, so why the heck was he close to tearing up? This had not been a fight, it had been a joke, and there was no shame in losing it. He had won already, and he had simply granted the Noibat the opportunity to show what she got. Yes... yes that was it. She could have never defeated him, since he was simply stronger in every regard. He had let her win... yeah, that was it. Didn't hurt to fuel another, weaker explorer with some confidence, right?

After his brief faint, he opene his eyes again and groaned as he sat up. Great... humiliated in front of all of these visitors. Then again, if he had crushed Holly, then he would be considered a fiendish brute. So he had done the right thing by indirectly losing on purpose. Besides, what had he lost? Some meager experience and a couple of poke dollars? Nothing he needed, since he could evolve anytime, and he already had a pretty strong skill set.

Beating the dust out of his fur, he got back up on his feet and assumed a prideful stance, turning his head towards Holly with a delighted, calm smile. "Use that supersonic against bad guys. Will make making the world a better place easy for you. It's an expedient skill." He told her, which was followed by a brief chuckle. Honorless, but expedient. "Still, you need to get faster. While there will likely be many outlaws with so much hubris that they will simply gloat, some might just want to get rid off you asap." He somewhat requested the Noibat to keep on training and improve herself.

He turned away from her and took a few steps towards the exit, before stopping and tilting his head to her for a final time. "If we ever face once more... I won't treat you with reserve again. I'd like me to be a Weavile and you to be a Noivern then though." He made clear he would no longer hold back, though it was not a threat, more of a sportsmonlike statement. This was followed by a brief grin, before he turned away for a final time and made his exit.

Now he could only hope Holly was determined as Kaslin to improve herself. And the Sneasel? Well... he had learned mercy really was for the foolish. And a lesson was always more valueable than a couple of poke and some experience to him.

Holly the Noibat She hadn't expected to dodge those flying claws for a third time. And yet, she had, and she had healed herself, and now her opponent was lying, defeated, on the ground. Holly landed herself, staring almost comically in her shock at the Sneasel. What had started as a last effort gamble had turned into a victory quite literally snatched from the jaws of defeat. Vanitas got up and Holly dipped her head to him. Her victory did not embolden her any, rather, she felt ashamed. She had not earned this fight fairly. "Had you used a stronger move, or chosen to attack rather than give me a free blow, our spots would be reversed." she told him just as seriously. "I hope you have learned in this lesson as much as I - to never underestimate any opponent." she shuffled her wings, straightening before dipping her head again. "Nevertheless, I will take your words to heart...I do need to get faster." her eyes narrowed slightly as she looked off in the distance, lost for a moment in thought. "But I would like to fight you again, yes. This battle was, in my eyes, a draw. Next time I'd like to defeat you for real." she gave a small grin. "I look forward to our next fight. Well met."
