Guild Pokemon ate like... well, like animals to say the least. Not a day went by that a guild member didn't tackle at least one dungeon each: some of the higher leveled members even did two. So by dinner time, the guild was starving, wolfing down their meals with an unmatched fervor. Holly wasn't strong enough to tackle two dungeons in a day - just one had nearly killed her - but Arceus knew each day left her starving. So by the time Holly had gotten her tray loaded with the night's meal, she could hardly wait until she had reached the nearest table to dig in.
Nearly burying her face in her food, the Noibat was quick to gulp down morsels of the meal. It wasn't badly done by any means, but right now Holly was hungry enough to be happy eating literal rocks. Other pokemon would devote the time to socializing or perhaps discussing potential teammates but Holly... Holly was one hungry bat.

Silvain, like most, got hungry very fast. Especially while crawling depths of dark dungeons, fighting ferocious pokemon, and making new friends, the dog worked up quite an appetite. At the long banquet table that many of the cooks have given up on trying to wash the stains out of, the Houndour walked across it, a plate full of food and eyes full of excitement and anticipation. He was ready to eat, absolutely, but he also liked to socialize during this hour, simply because they were usually all so busy during the day that they never really got much time to actually bond. Sometimes he made new friends or strengthened links with old ones, but either way, Dinner had always been the most exciting part of his day. The dog balanced his tray on his nose with a small smile painting his take, every step he took disrupting his side and making the pain from before bloom across it once more. He would have to see a nurse soon to relieve the pain, but for now, he was quite prepared for dinner and was not about to skip out on it for a petty injury. Eyes straining to look at the seats he could take, he soon settled one one just in front of him, gingerly settling his tray on the alabaster tablecloth (probably a bad idea on part of the guild) and then seating himself down. Silvain glanced to his left, tongue lolling from his mouth idly as he checked to see who he had sat beside. Eyes locking on Holly, recognition flared into his eyes and his smile grew, excited that he had chosen a seat next to someone he knew the name of but had never socialized with before. "Oh, hello Holly!" he greeted with a bark, hoping that he had gotten her name right. "Your food looks pretty nice." he commented with an agreeable smile, glancing at her meal from his peripheral while he began to dive into his own. MADE BY VEL OF GS AND ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0

Well, it had been a nice meal. At least, until Holly heard the unmistakable sound of approaching footsteps. Here she was, a dour looking Noibat quite pointedly eating her food, how in the world did that offer invitation for conversation? She made a point not to look at whoever-it-was as they settled uncomfortably close beside her, nearly to her nose in the mix of fruits and meats that made up the standard diet of an omniverous guild pokemon.
The voice that spoke up then was unmistakable and Holly blinked in surprise and tilted her head, pausing a moment before looking up to make sure it was correct. Most pokemon who partnered with her had made a point to avoid her after dungeons - Holly wasn't exactly gentle with her words when she thought a partner wasn't taking the job seriously. And certainly she had not been any nicer to the puppy like Houndour who had fought with her and the other Noibat the other day...so what was he doing, sitting next to her?
"If you mean to complement my food, I would say that to the chefs, they're the one who actually made it." Holly pointed out, voice blunt. But her response hadn't actually been rude, per se, or even discouraging. It was perhaps the closest to a greeting Holly would attempt - progress, at least. She didn't need to bother with any more struggle at small talk though as Silvain - oh, she had remembered his name - pratically dissapeared with his head in his own plate of food, not unsimilarly from Holly's display before.
She elected not to say anything else before something caught her eye and the Noibat's head flew up from her food again, her face disbelieving. "Did you seriously." she began, staring at his injured side. "Go to dinner without getting that looked at?"

The dog proceed to stuff his face with the delicious oofd that had been prepared for them, as if he were about to fast for a while month. His appetite was massive, not only because of the energy taken exploring dungeons, but also because of the physical stress put onto his body. His ribs were still aching from the multiple times they had been slammed into, they bloomed in pain with every rbeath and inhale. Perhaps he shouldn't have gone to the Mess Hall first, but he had learned quickly that if you didn't get there early, you would only get the scraps that others didn't want to touch. He didn't regret his decision, but did wish that he could have gotten maybe a pain-killer, or something to ease the agony with every shift of his legs. Ah, but what was done was done. Leaning back to chew his food, he realized Holly had been speaking to him and shot his attention to her, now staring at her with interest. Sure, she was not as kind as some, and it didn't seem like she beat around the bush, but everyone was different. Silvain had learned at a young age that not everyone was great, but that'd he'd just have to be kind for them. It never really worked with his childhood situations, but he employed whenever he could, simply because he was never treated as nicely as he wanted to be as a young puppy. Looking back up, the Houndour swallowed and gave a wide smile. "Ah, I don't know who makes the food, but they do a great job at it! Maybe I could meet them one day?" he wondered, wagging his tail idly. That seemed like a great idea! Still pondering how he might be able to to truly meet the cooks, Holly's voice jarred him from his thoughts and he looked up, ears perked and eyes wide. Her pointing out his fault only made the jabs of pain in his side grow fiercer. He made an awkward laugh that echoed in his ribs uncomfortably, eyes going shifty as he responded. "Um, yeah... But, I was hungry! You never get the good bits if you come here late." he commented, looking back to her. "Plus, don't you need food to heal?" Maybe he was wrong, but he was positive someone said that; well, maybe. MADE BY VEL OF GS AND ADOXOGRAPHY 2.0
