The homes in this area were pretty quaint, all built with rather obvious themes in mind. There was a house with wooden eevee ears set in either side, and yet another home designed to look like a dojo. One such building was designed to look like a small treehouse. It had been located the address given on the back of the 'search and scare' slip on the bulletin board of the Kanga Room inn. Right now, the area was pretty quiet, but it was nearing the end of the day: working pokemon would be arriving home from work soon. The sun was already beginning to set over the horizon, and a pleasant breeze filled the air. All in all, the perfect day to scare a young treecko half to death. Note: I'm still working out exactly what the structures of the Odd Jobs will be! Let me know via pm how you think this is going and I'll try to adapt accordingly. Thanks!

{ } Sunlight scintillating off his snow-white pelt, Constantine strode down the neighborhood at a casual pace, neither hurried nor unhurried. A merry, slightly off-key tune escaped his easy smile, drifting into the clear blue sky above. The weather was so nice today, the perfect balance between heat and cold. Yes, it really was a beautiful day to beat someone to a bloody pulp. He had found this job in a shady corner of an otherwise welcoming inn. It caught his eye immediately; payment for roughing someone up! What a dream. Technically he could do the same in the exploration missions that requested the capture of outlaws, but it wasn't quite the same. There was much more pleasure in harassing someone, well, in a not so legal fashion. Being the villain promised more excitement than being the bad guy. But, mournfully, he wasn't very strong. The Treecko described in the job description was only at his first stage of evolution, so he couldn't be that much of a challenge. Still, the Absol was relatively inexperienced in missions and battles, and he would appreciate having a little backup. So he stuck a note on the bulliten that requested a partner and sure enough, he received a reply when he came back a couple hours later to check on it, which included a time and place. So here he was now, standing at the base of the treehouse that was home to his soon-to-be victim. Truth be told, Constantine was rather excited about having a companion for this mission. It meant he could meet someone who potentially had as few morals as he did. Hopefully it wasn't one of those reserved, silent-but-deadly types. They weren't very fun to be around. The Treecko would be arriving soon, so hopefully his partner ( Zagi Silent-Strider, the note had been signed with) would show up before then. The Absol strayed a little further away from the treehouse, still very close to it but far away enough as so to seem like a mere passerby, innocuously waiting for someone to come. (so pumped!! connie stands near the treehouse, but not so close as to arouse suspicion or seem creepy, and waits for his bro.) MADE BY VEL OF GS

It's a beautiful lie It's a perfect denial Such a beautiful lie to believe in So beautiful, beautiful lie makes me Zagi groomed his fur as he waited, anticipation crawling through his skin. Ahh today seemed promising, already he had a scheduled beating to get to, and the afternoon was only just starting to end! Oh what would he do with his night after? A happy hum escaping the fox-like pokemon, his tail wagged in an easy manner as he padded down the road, glancing at the houses as he passed in light seeming curiosity. Not that it wasn't obvious which one was his destination, the dark type spotted that one nearly a block away. Perhaps some might call the tree-house picturesque. Maybe even quaint. The client of said ordered beating lived there presumably, and Zagi had to say that he was quite eager to meet him. After all, he had a job to do and it would hardly be proper to keep the man waiting! The job was certainly odd, though in an interesting, and the zorua would say, very pleasurable manner. The few times he bothered to check the guild boards there was never anything... quite this colorful. Indeed he would have to keep closer tabs on the place where he had found this delightful little task he was now under hire to do, the Kanga Room or something of that manner. The place was much more in his style than many of the other various stores and cafe's that crowded the town. No, it had everything he needed, quick meals and decent room rates with an added level of secrecy and their own more... private bulletin boards. Not to mention Zagi took a slight liking to the owner's son, Scamp was it? A cute fellow, very promising looking. He had a dark future ahead he did. But that was something to be looked more closely over later... Zagi found his mind wandering to the note he had seen on the bulletin board. Indeed, when he had gone to snatch the mission for himself, he had found someone else had already signed their name and had left it open for some company! The more the merrier, but what sent shivers of excitement over the zorua's spine was thinking about this mysterious partner he was to have. Obviously the fellow couldn't be too bad to be in such a local and signing up such a mission, but other than Zagi knew nothing of him than a name. Assuming it was a he. "Constantine" He murmured the name aloud, licking his chops as he did, white teeth shimmering a moment in the late light of the sun. He liked the name at least. Well, he had already dressed his nicest so to say, Zagi having been careful to wash and then groom his fur by the stream, before setting out. Call him self-conscious, but he wanted to make a good impression, and possibly a last one as well. Still... eyes narrowing in mischief, Zagi sifted through his memories, searching for the right thing. Aha! A murkrow, that would suit him nicely. He didn't plan to keep the illusion long, he just needed to borrow the image a moment... Ducking in a side alley a moment, the zorua closed his teal eyes a moment, concentrating on the image of the murkrow, honing his ability as he mentally molded a shape around himself. Red eyes opened, a murkrow spreading his wings to examine their inky black feathers. A fairly good illusion if he did say so himself. Tilting his head, ears twitched around beneath his illusion and he made his way further into the alley, circling the area and turning off near the tree-house type building on the other side of it. Taking several moments to examine the area, it took only a few glances to notice an absol that seemed to be... lingering, yes. Of course, he was looking for someone like that, and to many appearances it seemed the absol was simply looking for someone as well. Perhaps this was his dear Constantine then. A grin spread across his muzzle, and his illusion of a murkrow seemed to mirror as much as it could with a beak. Sauntering near the brilliant white pokemon, the murkrow leaned close with a sparkle in his eyes. "Been waiting long... Constantine? I do hope our friend hasn't arrived while I was otherwise preoccupied making my way over here, that would be such a shame. After all, we have to give him a proper welcome home, don't you agree?"MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

As the sun began to tip over the horizon, the street started livening up a little. Various pokemon were walking down the streets, heading home from work as they chatted with one another in a neighborly way. More than a few curious glances were directed towards the 'murkrow' and the absol in the area, and it was clear the two had to be careful - here was a tight knit community. But it had been a long work day, and so no one confronted them. A Flareon walked down the street to disappear into the Eevee-ears house, just as a Primeape dissapeared into the dojo house. But still, no Treecko quite yet. "Hiya!"The tiny lion pokemon was currently pawing at Constantine's leg. It gave a delighted grin when it was noticed, frolicking around the pair happily. "You two don't live around here, doya? Are you lost?" Her voice was high and feminine - obviously a very young child. Her eyes grew round as she stared quite blatantly at the absol's horn. "Hey, is it true you guys cause natural disasters? My mom says it's rude to ask but I'm not being rude, I'm just curious." she informed the absol. While Johnny the Treecko hadn't arrived quite yet - not that he was late, pokemon were due to continue heading home for the next half hour or so - there was no saying when he would arrive. In the meantime, the Litleo was still there, staring curiously at the pair, though her attention was quite obviously biased towards Constantine.
