Despite the powerful attack, it barely seemed to effect the opponent; in fact, your claws nearly seemed to go through it. Despite this, it was knocked back all the same, but quickly recovered, ready for the next attack.

Vanitas used Feint Attack! It was super effective!
Misdreavus Health - -19/20

The Misdreavus looked at Vanitas straight on with a determined gaze, watching as he rushed forward, only to disappear into thin air. A shocked expression on it's face, the Misdreavus had little time to ponder this before it was slammed into the ground by the Feint Attack, rendered knocked out. It disappeared swiftly.

Vanitas and Roamer gained 105 exp points!
Roamer leveled up to level 9!

[Roamer]

Roamer struck with his Metal Claw, and for some reason the Misdreavus barely took any damage. The Charmander froze, his eyes locked with the eyes of his enemy.
Though, like a superhero, his savior dashed towards the Misdreavus and disappeared momentarily to appear right above the enemy pokémon.

Roamer watched in awe as the Sneasel easily knocked out the Misdreavus with.. what looked like a new attack.
The Charmander felt the burst of power again, indicating that he had once again leveled up.
"Whoa- are- are you okay?" He then asked, gently placing a paw on Vanitas' shoulder. He wasn't sure whether or not the Sneasel would appreciate the touch, but he was willing to try.

[Vanitas]

As he landed, the darkness engulfing his eyes and talons dissipated violently into nothingness, causing Van to briefly look at the puff of the smoke that was left of the Misdreavus and then his own talons. So... that was how the power of darkness felt. Quite bodacious actually. It was like wielding nothing but pure force, untainted by the elements, and not restricted to physical limitations like the normal type. But he had also felt his emotional state change briefly, like... destructiveness had eclipsed everything else. He had to learn to wield these kinds of powers properly, or else he had another force to worry about which was threatening to consume him; just like the fog did for everything else.

Shaking himself a little, he shifted his body to face Roamer while scratching his head with a slightly nervous grin. He had not noticed Roamer's awe before, but he had definetly heard his words, which were that of concern. But feeling his paw on his shoulder also made him feel something else... affectionate care. Van nodded, feeling dandy as ever. "Sure, I am fine. I just grew strong enough here, also thanks to you being by my side, to finally tap into what power the dark type enables. It felt... quite awesome to be honest. I like Feint Attack, hehe." He responded, his almost playful grin hardly fading. It was easy to see how contented he was, which should put Roamer's worries to rest.

"Sorry if I worried you though." He apologized, his grin shifting to a normal smile as he nodded, realizing that this sudden display of power would have likely caused any pokemon to become solicitous. But now, Roamer knew about it, which should make future uses of that move easy. Van then pointed at the item in one of corners of the room and tilted his head in its direction. "Let's grab that - it's yours unless I really need it - and then get going; team leader, eh?" He asked him with a tone of slight eagerness, ready to get going with their adventure. 

[Roamer]

"Oh?" Roamer said in surprise as Vanitas said that it was thanks to him being by Van's side that the Sneasel was able to tap into his dark power. Though the Charmander wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, but seeing as how Vanitas was grinning at him- he supposed it was a good thing. "Well it did look amazing!" The said with a toothy grin. "Wish I coul do something like that. But unfortunately.." He raised his claws to his own face. "My claws turn into metal and my breath into fire. Nothing very spectacular if you ask me."

However they had to continue, and Roamer chuckled when Van apologized. "Hey no big deal.. I uh.. care about you, you know? Just want to make sure you're okay." Which was an honest response from the Charmander.
As Vanitas pointed towards the item that was still in the corner of the room, the Charmander grinned. "Alright, thanks!"
Roamer picked up the item and then headed to the west path.

[Vanitas]

The brief 'oh?' made Van shrug and grin briefly. They were together in this and had gained a lot of power, so Van felt gratitude towards Roamer participating in this mission. It was the Charmander's idea after all, and without him, the Sneasel might have still waited for the master of the guild to wake up. And thanks to the power gains, he was finally able to unleash the dark powers slumbering within him. It was but a fraction, but Van was obviously impressed and excited to see more. He felt like he was a kid in the candy store; he wanted more.

Van blushed a little, which soon turned into a toothy grin, when Roamer complimented him for his display of power. He giggled with glee, though when Roamer discredited himself, he shook his head and carried a calm smile on his lips. "You'll be able to slice through mountains and incinerate anything and anyone you want. Though... you probably should not, since we are the good guys. Restraint and all, eh?" He responded, followed by another shrug. One of the things Roamer could scorch easily though was Van's behind, due to the type advantage. 

Regardless, they still had to attain such powers anyway, and for that they had to continue on with the dungeon. And since there were no hard feelings between them, it made continuing the journey all the more easy. "Thanks. I care about you, my partner, as well." He assured him that he was right behind him to cover his back if it was required. While maybe not partners permanently, they were partners now, and Van thought and acted accordingly.

And after this Charmander-ally picked up the item, he lead them westward.

Stun Seed was added to Roamer's inventory!

You walk down a narrow pathway as a pair, only to end up in a small, cramped room with overgrown bushes and clumps of tussock and grass growing in every corner. There was nothing in it besides the two of you.

[Roamer]

A sheepish grin appeared on Roamer's features as Vanitas said that he would be able to slice through mountains and practically lit everyone on fire. Surely it wasn't something Roamer wanted to do- as he was a good guy. "But when someone comes around to threaten us, I'll probably have to" He said, with a hint of honesty in his voice. Roamer's always been a passive little guy, and he never had to protect anyone or anything in his life. His decision to become an explorer had been a very tough one- as he doubted himself a lot.
Vanitas didn't seem like he was doubting himself at all. The Sneasel was a powerful pokémon, and Roamer didn't want to have Vanitas on his bad side, ever.

Roamer blushed when Vanitas said that he cared about him as well, and that they were partners- which made the little Charmander grit his teeth. He had to ask the Sneasel some day, right? Maybe it was too early for now- but if he didn't ask.. perhaps Vanitas would form another team and Roamer would be left behind.

As the duo walked further into the dungeon they reached a dead end. Roamer shrugged, not a big deal. They could just turn around and follow the other path.
"Oh well." Roamer said, with a grin.

Of course, if someone attacked them or an innocent pokemon, Roamer had every right to step up and use the full extent of his arsenal to teach that fiend a lesson. "Of course." He approved with a thumps up (or at least a talons up). He agreed and would do the same as the Charmander, and there was no shame in it. And And Vanitas was certain that, with a lot of training and learning the arts of cooperation, he and Roamer could become excellent sentinels of justice. He was an active guy like that who wanted to do good, almost an antithesis to his Dark & Ice - type nature.

Unfortunately, they had wasted their time and reached a dead end, causing Vanitas to sigh with an expression of annoyance on his face. Roamer took it lightly, causing Van to shrug as well and turn around to follow his temporary leader. "Meh... I don't like wasting time."  He commented quietly, scratching his chest a little since it started to feel itchy from the rather humid air. He was a pragmatic like that. 

[Sundance]

You walk down a long path, the quiet trickle of water down leaves beginning to grow louder as you walked further down the next path. On certain occasions, tiny pin-pricks of water would drip atop your head, running down your back with such a slimy feeling, it was a wonder how anyone even lived in the forest. Eventually, you reach a small room, the only occupents being the two of you and the delightful visage of the staircase.

[Roamer]

Ah the stairs, they were one step closers to helping out their client.
"Alright, Vanitas!" Roamer beamed, stepping closer to the stairs. "We're almost through the dungeon!" Which made him realize that- probably after this dungeon.. Vanitas would go his own way.
"So.. uh.. what are you going to do when we're done?" He asked, although he already knew the answer. Vanitas was probably going back to the Guildmasters again.

Roamer would take the stairs.

[Vanitas]

Almost through the dungein? Wasn't their destination on floor 5? Well... floor 3 was a good point to be in the Sneasel figured. They did not have any trouble thus far, so reaching their destination and accomplishing their goal did not seem that far off anymore. Still, they required an Escape Orb to actually deliver something, and it did not appear they had one with them.

Stepping on the stairs like Roamer, his ears twitched slightly when he asked him an interesting question. What he would do once they were done. After thinking for a few seconds, Van shrugged. "Return to the guild master, then eat dinner I guess." He responded somewhat casually, since there was no serious business to undergo. He simply wanted to form his team, become an official explorer and take the rest of the day to celebrate that.

"And you? Will you... return to the guild master?" He wondered, figuring that Roamer had overcome his past anxieties already. But he wanted to make sure.

[Sundance]

You step down the stairs into a new, smaller room. Despite the fact that you went down, the sky can still be seen through small slits in the dark canopy overhead. It's as if the dungeons defy physics. Looking down would reveal a small Hoppip that looked at you with curiosity, slowly inching closer. However, it stood between you and a Pecha Berry that had been scattered in the dark, springy grass. You'd have to fight it before you could reach the item, but there was no doubt that you could hit first.

[Roamer]

(I just noticed the previous maps were called dojo. xDD)

Roamer listened to what Vanitas said, his speculation was right. The Sneasel would return to the Guildmaster hope he would be awake. That didn't stop the Charmander from smiling with Vanitas said that he would eat dinner afterwards.
Yeah, dinner would sound amazing after this. They certainly deserved it.

However, as Vanitas asked if he was going to return to the Guildmaster, the Charmander shrugged. "I uh.. was kind of hoping we could.." He began, but he was interrupted by a Hoppip looking at them with curiosity. Roamer didn't really want to defeat it, as it didn't look angry or even threatening.
However, he was sure that if he didn't attack the Hoppip sure as hell would.

Roamer sighed, and then ran forward to strike it with a metal claw. Though, his fist started feeling a little bit weird. And as the Charmander looked at it he saw it was coated with.. fire?
Well, that was new?

The Charmander smirked, and then struck the Hoppip with a Fire Punch right across the jaw.
He turned around, to check what had happened to the little grass pokémon. He figured that the Hoppip wouldn't have survived that hit.
Secretly, he also wanted to impress Vanitas with a move he just learned.

[Vanitas]

Van barely managed to follow Roamer's words before they were suddenly surprised by a Hoppip slowly approaching them. A rather tame action for a feral pokemon, but it was a feral pokemon tainted by the fog nonethelss. The charmander hesitated at first, but soon realized the same and readied himself for combat, though Van was not expecting much of a fight. After all, A Hoppip was both vulnerable to ice and fire, so it basically had no chance against them individually, much less combined.

He beheld as his companion dashed towards the 'hostile' pokemon, his claws being engulfed in... fire. Van's eyes widened, and he could not help himself but smile a little as the display of power. He was impressed; after all, this Charmander learned very fast, just like him. While expecting the strike to finish the deal, just to make sure, Van quickly followed suit with a Quick Attack in case it stood up once again.

And after that was done, Van looked at the Pecha Berry, shrugging. "I will take it; but if you get poisoned I will of course give it to you." He said, remembering that Roamer had taken the last 2 items. Hence it was only fair for Van to take this item now. Besides, they would share if necessary, so there was no reason to panic.

Roamer used Fire Punch! It's super effective!
Hoppip Health - -26 / 18

Before the Hoppip could even react, it was blown away by the pure power of the Fire Punch. Flames seemed to catch on it's stems as it rolled away, immediately rendered as a limp, fainted body. Soon, it simply disappeared, leaving small clouds of fog in it's wake.

Vanitas and Roamer earned 42 exp points! Roamer leveled up to level 10!

Roamer can learn Smokescreen but will have to forget a move to do so. Learn Smokescreen...?
