Flying Dojo Thread

As you step through the doors of the Dojo you find yourself in a very light room. The light is almost blinding, but the longer you remain in the room the light becomes bearable!
You can feel the breeze softly whispering against your body, but what's this? You hear the flap of wings beside you and as you turn, you stare right into the eyes of a Spearow! It's looking at you with menacing eyes..


(Maximus)

"Whoa! Yikes!"

Maximus nearly tripped over himself as he scrambled backwards, hopefully out of pecking range. There was something about that Spearow's eyes that he did not like, and something told him that he'd be in for a world of hurt if its beak found its way to his hide. A shiver ran down his spine. Yikes.

"No fair! You didn't give me any time to prepare." His jaws started to crackle with electricity as he spoke; before long the air around him was charged. "But whatever. I can deal." The Tyrunt crouched for half a second before leaping for the Spearow's wing, jaws wide open and ready to deliver a crushing bite. Let's see how you like this!

The Spearow somewhat snorted as Maximus almost tripped over himself. Though as the Tyrunt began to speak the Spearow tilt its head, like he didn't understand what the pokémon was saying. 

However, the Tyrunt leapt for the Spearows wing with sizzling jaws!

Maximus used Thunder Fang! It's super effective! Maximus dealt 20 damage +2 from the Strong Jaw ability! 

As Spearow's wing was caught between Maximus' jaw, it began to squawk madly, desperately trying to get his wing out of the Tyrunt's grasp. Though, the electricity was too much.. and Spearow was simply obliterated by Maximus' power. 

Congratulations!

Maximus earned 41 exp!

Max spat out a mouthful of feathers. The lightning had charred them to blackened ashes, and they left a vile taste in his mouth.

"Blech! Easy!"

Scraping his tongue against the roof of his mouth, he stepped away from the unconscious Spearow and looked around the room. Aside from himself and the unfortunate bird, it was empty; there wasn't any point in staying here.

"Right." He locked his eyes on the single hallway that led out of the room and walked towards it. "Let's see what this dojo can throw at me."

You decide to move away from the slightly smoking body from Spearow and head for the only entrance to the next area.



Once you step outside of the narrow path you're met with a Skarmory that's glaring somewhat angrily at you. Turns out that Spearow was his friend! Because the Skarmory has a higher speed stat than Maximus, it gets the first turn!
The Skarmory dashes over to Maximus and immediately attacks him with iPeck! But it's not very effective.. it dealt 3 damage.


(Maximus) health 17/20

[Maximus]

"Yowch!"

Being ever the observant one, Max hadn't noticed the Skarmory until it literally tried to take off a chunk of his flesh. It hadn't done much damage at all, but... man, that still stung. Max shot the Skarmory a glare.

"Alright, you're asking for it now." Electricity once again crackled at the Tyrunt's jaws, and with a yell he sprang at his new opponent.

The Skarmory winced because pecking Maximus hadn't been such a good idea. Its beak was kind of aching right now. 
However the Tyrunt recovered easily because of its tough skin and went for a counter attack. 

Maximus used Thunder Fang! It dealt 10 + 2 damage from the Strong Jaw ability! It's super effective!

Skarmory health 9/21

The Skarmory sizzled with electricity, it's body convulsing as it dropped to the ground. However, it regained the energy to get up- staring angrily at the Tyrunt. 


Skarmory used Peck! It dealt 3 damage. It's not very effective..

Maximus health 14/20

[Maximus]

Oh. That look in the Skarmory's eye didn't look friendly.

At least its attacks were proving ineffective.

Wincing away from the other Pokemon's dangerous beak, Maximus prepared another Thunder Fang attack. I mean, don't fix what ain't broke, right? The Skarmory looked the worse for wear, even though the fight had just started; maybe, if he could just keep up the onslaught...

"Take this!" Without a second thought, he swung his jaws wide open and dove in for the killing bite.

Maximus used Thunderfang! It dealt 10 + 2 damage from the strong jaw ability!

The Skarmory screeched as Maximus' jaws once again connected with its body. However, the damage was too much for the steel bird- and it disappeared in a puff of smoke. 

Skarmory fainted!

Maximus gained 120 exp!


Maximus leveled to 6!
Maximus learned the move Roar!

Health + 2
Attack + 2
Defense + 1
Special Attack + 1
Special Defense + 1
Speed + 1

Now that the Skarmory is defeated, will you take the path or exit the dojo? 

[Maximus]

"Hell yes!" Jumping out of the way of the smoke, Maximus lifted his head in triumph. "That's what I'm talking about! You don't got nothing on me--Maximus, Explorer Extraordinaire!" He threw his head back and let out a resounding Roar.

Whoa.

Holy shit.

The Tyrunt nearly fell over in shock. Did he do that? Was this a new move that he'd suddenly gained? Was he stronger now?

"Rad."

But as much as he wanted to test out his new abilities, he couldn't deny that the Skarmory's beak had left its mark on him. Nothing was broken or bloody, but his wounds did sting. Maybe it was time to call it quits for today.

"Right then." He looked around the empty room, not sure how to get out. "Uh. Sawk? Throh?" He doubted the two dojo masters would be able to hear him from here, but he couldn't figure out how else to call for help. "I'm ready to leave! Hello!"

[Meiko]

A pair of stairs appeared next to Maximus, leading out of the dojo to safety. 

Maximus didn't earn anything apart from the experience gained in the dojo as he did not descend any floors.
