You walk down the narrowy skyway until you come into a room with one path leading north, albeit a Vullaby seems to be guarding it. It let out a series of angry, hostile chirps and calls, eyes narrowed as it stared at you. It definitely wasn't fast enough to strike first, so it should be an easy battle.

Vanitas was actually kind of surprised to see a Vullaby here in the clear sky. It was flying type pokemon, yes, but it was also a dark type pokemon, who usually resided in darker areas if they were feral due to the fog. And as to expected, it acted with hostility towards him, though due to its large frame, it could not even hope to outpace or outmaneuver the agile and wift Sneasel.
He was not too certain if a single Ice Punch would do the trick this time, as Vullabys were quite tenacious bird pokemons, but since it was of dark type, he did not expect to receive much damage either. Hence he used his attack power to engulfe his talons in a coat of ice and slash at the quite frankly overweight pokemon. And the counter hit six, meaning he was definetly running out of energy.

Vanitas used Ice punch! It's super effective!Vullaby Health - 7/39 The Vullaby was hit hard by the Ice Punch, knocked back and away so that it rolled on it's wide, round shell for a moment. Letting out a soft cry of agony and pain, the Vullaby laid there for a moment, before eventually struggling and heaving itself up to it's clawed feet. Breathing heavily, it rushed at you. Vullaby used Pluck! It did 12 damage!Flapping it's tiny wings but not lifting up, it's small beak began to become illuminated by a bright white, glowing as it rushed forwards. Using it's beak, flickering with white, it began to peck at you wildly, picking the spots where it hit carefully as to impart the most damage.

Standing again and seeing the Vullaby roll over the floor, he had already felt confident in his victory. However, his confidence was crushed due to the shock of seeing the feral pokemon getting up again. Despite dealing some serious damage, it's strong frame had protected it from falling unconcious already. Barely having time to react, Van felt its massive beak pecking at him with painful force, even overtrumping the Skarmory's violence.
Hit by hit, the Sneasel got pushed backwards, feeling the air being pushed out of its lungs. He could not sustain this any longer, so just like with the Skarmoy, he purposefully let himself fall, likely making the Vullaby stumble for a seconf or to. Despite pain overflowing his nervous system, he managed to channel ice energy into his paws, and pushing himself off the ground, he struck the feral pokemon which another, and likely his last Ice Punch.

Vanitas used Ice punch! It's super effective!Vullaby Health - 0/39 A sickening crunching sound was heard as your fist of ice connected with the Vullaby, knocking it back and causing it to bounce against the clouds like a mere ragdoll. It disappeared in a puff of fog, the once large bird now gone. Vanitas earned 137 exp points!

While he had emerged victoriously from this fight once again, he felt badly damaged. Falling onto his knees, he breathed heavily as he felt a great pain in his chest. This had been way too much, and it had finally taken a toll upon the Sneasel's body. If adversaries were of similar potential to that Vullaby, then he would not be concious for much longer. No, this was it. He had trained a lot and had proven to himself that he was ready to join the guild.
Sitting down, he took a few minutes of rest on the clouds, taking in the gentle wind and calm atmosphere. It actually was quite beautiful in here; if it only was not for those feral pokemon tainted by the fog. This could be a nice place for flying pokemons to live in peace. But no... first the fog had to vanquished, then they could think about rebuilding what was lost.
Accepting that his was the end, a radiant light appeared around him before warping him out of the dojo. He was proud of himself for managing to keep up for so long, but now, it was time for a long, well-deserved rest for his body and mind.
