SundanceDarvin looked around in awe of all the beautiful gemstones that filled the cave, his feathers ruffling slightly in excitement at the sight of it all. He had heard of the glittering cave and how it got it's name from the shimmering stones within it but he had never seen it with his own eyes. It really was quite the image to behold and he briefly pondered trying to take one of the stones for himself. With a,ll the money he could get from selling just one of the gems from this cave, he would be set for life! Or at least until his insatiable love of food caused him to spend all of his money, which to him wasn't that bad of an option either. With a brief shake of his feathered head, the young ducklett quickly dispersed of the idea. He hadn't come here for the stones, he had come to help someone find their friend. Besides, it was selfish of him to even think of taking one of the gems from this cave, they didn't belong to him and he knew that perfectly well, so instead the blue pokemon took another quick look around him, this time focusing instead on the room he was currently in. He spotted multiple items scattered throughout the room as well as a few other pokemon, all of them being Larvitar. He took note of the fact that two appeared to be asleep while the third one, the closest one to him was looking at him angrily. The water bird pokemon tilted his head slightly in confusion, wondering why the opposing pokemon seemed so angry. Although, upon seeing how eager to fight it seemed, realization quickly dawned on him. "Oh, you wanna battle me don't you?" Darvin chirped with a cheerful smile on his face. "Hehe, alright I'm always down for a little fight, I just hope you know what you're getting yourself into." He chuckled out softly, noticing how slowly the opponent seemed to move. Could he really be so slow? Maybe that would give him the chance to attack first, it was worth a try. He decided to try using a water gun, hoping with everything he had that he hadn't been wrong and that his opponent wouldn't end up attacking him before he could land a hit on him first.

Darvin used Water Gun! It's super effective!Larvitar Health - 7/23 Before the Larvitar could possibly react, it was hit with a stream of shooting water. Knocked back by the powerful jet of water directly in it's face, it let out a soft, quiet cry of agony, stumbling backwards in pain. As the water receded, it looked up and rushed forwards, despite it's injuries. Larvitar used Bite! It did 7 damage!Darvin Health - 13/20 It latched onto your soft, blue feathers with sharp, alabaster teeth, biting you with anger driving it's force. The Larvitar hung on with it's teeth, although a quick shake could easily dislodge it from your body. Darvin [/quote]

Darvin could feel a surge of pride well up within his being as his attack hit his opponent dead in the face. It really seemed to do quite a bit of damage too, as he took note of the cry of agony emitted by the rock type upon being hit as well as how it seemed to stumble back from the blow. One more attack like that and he was certain that his foe would be down for the count. It wouldn't be much longer now, soon he'd be finished with the battle and be able to progress on to the next room, maybe he'd even get to check out some of the items he saw littering the floor of the room he was currently in beforehand. He thought he had seen a berry somewhere in the room and his mind quickly drifted off to thoughts of delicious food, unaware of the foe getting dangerously close to him. He was quickly awoken from his short daydream by a sharp, searing pain in his right wing. He let out a surprised yelp and quickly looked down to see the Larvitar he was so sure he would beat, had dug it's sharp teeth into his feathered appendage and was holding on for dear life. Instinctively and without any warning, the young ducklett started trying to shake his foe off, not caring what happened to the green creature in the process as long as it stopped the pain he was feeling. One more rough shake and he soon managed to pull his wing free, puffing up his cheeks in annoyance. He hadn't expected his first real fight to go this way, granted he was happy he was fighting against a REAL enemy rather than a Caterpie or something, but he had expected it would be this painful. Perhaps that's because he had only ever play fought with his parents and siblings before now. Taking part in battles that he knew wouldn't put him in any real danger and fighting opponents who he knew would likely let him win. Now though, this was the real deal, no one was gonna stop for him when he got tired and no one was gonna go easy on him because he's 'too young', it was attack or be attacked and he wasn't quite sure how to feel about that. There was no time to thing about it though as he had a battle to attend to before he could even consider his feelings about the matter and he instead gave a smirk. "You're pretty strong, but I'm determined to win this." He said, a confident tone in his voice as he readied another water gun and pushed forth another blast of water, aiming it at the Larvitar. Darvin gave a mental cheer upon seeing his opponent disappear into the fog, he had won his first ever battle and he could hardly contain the joy he felt in that very moment. Still, he remembered that two more Larvitar were sleeping not too terribly far from where he was and he wanted to keep the noise to a minimum, fearing another battle if he woke them up. Instead, he took a quick moment to preen himself, attempting to straighten up the feathers that his opponent had managed to mess up with it's bite. Normally he wouldn't have even considered stopping and would have already continued on into the next room by this point but he needed a moment to catch his breath. Once he was finished with the quick grooming session, he looked around the room once more, seeing an item right beside him as well as above him and, feeling as though he deserved a little reward, picked up the item nearest to him. He quickly put the item in his bag before he turned around and, with a cheerful smile, started heading upwards in the direction of the exit, stopping once again to pick up the second item before he continued on his way, wondering what awaited him in the next room. You walked up a small, narrow walkway with jagged walls and uneven ground; leaving behind the two enemies who still remained in slumber. The cave was rather dark, the only light being small wisps of odd, immaterial orbs that illuminated small parts of the cave. they almost seemed to... Follow you. The room you arrived, however, was empty and without exits; it seems you would have to backtrack.
