Axel is what you call... Well, quirky. He is a bit odd. Axel can be a bit immature for his age at points, but Axel also knows when the time to fool around is over and the going gets serious. Axel can be serious if he chooses to be.

As a younger Pokemon, Axel always had a book in his hand. Whether it was a book of a fantasy where Pokemon were controlled by owners called 'humans', or a folk tale about the fog, Axel had read it. He had read it all.
When Axel isn't reading, he enjoys to run. Running keeps the Growlithe in shape, and for how much he pigs out in food, he severely needs to keep the running habit up. But it's a good thing he enjoys it.
