Slithering down the stairs as swiftly as she could, Tinair noticed with some relief that the next room was mostly empty. Boring, of course, but that meant her mission could be completed quicker. All that she could hope for, really. 

She he should really continue, if she wanted to be out of this place as soon as possible. But of course, she might run into another nasty creature, like the ghost type she ran into earlier, and she needed to be ready. Maybe she should rest for a while, just to make sure she was strong? But that would be a waste of time.
 
No, better to continue. She slithered straight ahead, heading for the path Almost directly  in front of her.

You walk up the path, the grass crunching beneath your serpentine form as you head down it. However, you soon manage to run into another Hoppip, but it doesn't seem like it'll let you go this time. It whir's angrily, inching forwards slowly.

The narrow pathway was uncomfortable, walls looming besides her as she continued. She would have no way to run away, for there was not enough room to turn. If she met any enemies, that is, and meet them she did.

Once she saw the form of another body emerging from the dark, her eyes narrowed. another hoppip? Oh, well, it wasn't like she couldn't do with the experience. But she had to deal with it, quickly.

Coiling her body into a tense loop, she leapt, aiming to wrap her body around the Hoppip as many times as she could. Squeezing someone to death did take time, if she managed to do it at all, but it would probably take less time than her other options. She hated fighting fairy types.

Tinair used Wrap! It did 2 damage! Hoppip is unable to move!

The Hoppip tipped it's body slightly as it felt your serpentine-body wrap around it, binding it and leading it to cough slightly. Frowning angrily, the Hoppip looked down at you, waving it's stems idly.

Hoppip used Splash! ...But nothing happened!

In a vain attempt to escape it's clutches, the Hoppip flailed around in your grip wildly. It did nothing to help it's situation though, if not make it slightly more trapped than before.

A wide smile was on tinair's face, watching the small pokemon in her grip struggling to get out."Is that all you can manage?" Taunted the dratini, purposely tightening her grip to try to suffocate the Hoppip. "Just hurry up and dissappear, so I can get on with my mission." She really didn't have the patience, unlike some other pokemon she knew. Well, she had it when it was important, but this mission required speed. Hopefully, the stairs were in the next room, just so she could hurry up and return.

The constriction seemed to be getting to the Hoppip, as the frequency of coughs upped only slightly. It proceeded to struggle and squirm, a vain attempt at trying to escape your clutches.

Hoppip used Splash! ...But nothing happened!

The Hoppip flailed about once more, but it was debatable how much the thing could actually move while being held in place by your tail. It didn't understand you, not even your tone.

Watching the small pokemon struggle was far more fun than Tinair would have thought it could be. SNickering softly, she silently marked Hoppips as the most useless pokemon ever. Though some may be weaker, only she hadn't met them. But that was irrelevant.


"You could give up, you know, and maybe spare me the fight." SHe cooed, in a voice that dripped with both sweetness and venom. She was not one to pity pokemon, as it was so fun to see them struggle. Of course, she could let the small thing go, but what would be the fun in that?

The Hoppip proceeded to squirm as the coil grew tighter, constricting it's lungs as it desperately tried to escape your wrap. It spluttered a bit as it struggled, much too preoccupied with flailing to quite listen to your words.

Hoppip used Splash! ...But nothing happened!
Just like the past two rounds, the Hoppip proceeded to flounder about in it's brawl to escape constriction,

the small Pokemon continued to struggle in vain, with Tinair watching it amusedly. Such a useless creature. And to think she was worried about fighting it for a moment! Still, fairy-types were her weakness, and she would do well to be careful, especially if the hoppip managed to break free from her clutches.

tightening her grip further, Tinair ceased to speak, only a few chuckles escaping from her mouth now and then. There was no use speaking to such a creature, she decided, and she would rather save her breath.

( she is currently wrapped around her foe, so I'm not sure what else she could do. )

(RIGHT! I actually forgot that wrap meant that the user couldn't do anything, nor could the victim. Obviously, i've never sued wrap before.)

Suddenly, the Hoppip finally managed to free itself from your clutches, it's eyes wide as it landed on the plush grass with a soft thud. It let out a breath, it's wing-like stems whirring as it started up a move.

Hoppip used Synthesis! Hoppip restored 6 HP!

The pink Pokemon's green leaves atop it's head began to shimmer with a white light as sunlight shone upon them, leading to the rest of it's bulbous body to sparkle with a healing energy. Soon, the white faded and the Hoppip looked restored, shaking it's leaves quaintly.

I know what you don't know

a moment before, Tinair had the hoppip in her grasp. A few moments later, she was left twined around herself, the place previously occupied by the diary and grass type now empty as the hoppip escaped from her clutched. Hissing furiously, Tinair untwisted herself to face her opponent properly. By then, the hoppip was doing something else. Was it healing itself?

"Oh, great, undoing all my hard work." She muttered sarcastically, skirting around the freed Pokemon. If she continued to trap the Pokemon, would it online to escape and heal? She could not last long herself. Better to end this quickly.

Opening her mouth, a bright ball of energy began to form, before it flew at the hoppip. Instantly, Tinair felt drained of energy. She was taking a huge risk, she knew, by weakening herself so much for an attack that may or may not finish the enemy off, but life would be full of such risks in any case.

Tinair used Hyper Beam! It did 18 damage!
Hoppip Health - 0/18
Still winding down from it's Synthesis, the Hoppip was shot into by the extremely powerful Hyper Beam. Knocked back to a nearby wall of prickly, dead thorns, it fell to the floor and disappeared immediately, the fog whisking it's body away.

Tinair earned 42 exp!

Tinair watched, almost of breath, as her attack hit the hoppip and it slammed into a bush, dissapearing. Victory, expected but still satisfying.

There was no time to gloat, however, as she still had a job to do, even if she wasn't in the best of health. She lifted her head just a little higher, as if waiting for praise, before sliding around the corner. Carefully. She wasn't the sort to run head into danger, an she never intended to be. She wasn't that strong either. Better to be overly cautious, than not enough.
