Bug Dojo Dungeon Thread

Judy grinned savagely as the creature's claw dug through her flesh. It thought it was so clever with this move, unwittingly doing exactly what she wanted... "My turn." Judy snarled at the Paras, once again punching it, this time with the dark energy from a Counter move as she brought her closed fist directly down on the mushrooms growing from the Paras's back. "I'm done with you, little insect." the Kangaskhan told her opponent, satisfied that this victory would be hers.

Judy uses COUNTER

Paras Health - -6/22

The Paras immediately rolled backwards at the firm punch, hit with such force that it nearly rolled under a few nearby bushes. Eventually, the fog whisked the limp Paras away, leaving the spot where it had been laying empty.

Judy earned 70 exp points! Judy leveled up to Level 7!

Judy sighed as she leaned back a little, allowing herself to feel the tiredness if only for a moment. She had done pretty well, Judy conceded. She had won battle after battle without too many injuries and could already feel herself growing back to her old strength, back when she was in her prime. She could reward herself with a moment's break.

It would only last for a moment, however, for Judy was determined. She wanted to continue through the dojo for as long as her old legs could take her. She needed to grow stronger yet. Otherwise, how would she be able to protect her inn, and her children, and her business? It was a matter of professionalism.

And so she huffed and continued onwards, preparing herself for the next battle.

Judy RESTS and then goes EAST!

You stride down a small, new path before ending up in a small room with the stairs, minimal amounts of sun barely even reaching the floor from the thick, jungle canopy. A scyther stares at you with anger flickering in it's eyes, wings moving at a blindingly fast speed. However, it waited for you to attack first, for some reason.

[Judy]

Judy tensed as she saw the hovering bug type, but blinked in a surprised sort of fashion as she saw that it was simply hovering, giving her the first attack. "Well aren't you a gentleman." she remarked with a pleased nod, tipping her head to the scyther. "If you ever have a free day, you're welcome to visit my inn for a cuppa." That was all the time she allowed for pleasantries before striding forward. She could feel a new sort of power stirring in her veins, and harnessed it now. As she stepped forward, Judy jolted up suddenly as if about to attack, raising her arms and then stepping back quickly in an attempt to make her opponent flinch and perhaps hurt himself in the process.

Scyther Health - 20/26

The Scyther watched Judy with wide eyes, buzzing and clicking angrily. It didn't understand half of what the kangaskhan had said, but was left no time to think about as Judy came close and clapped in it's face suddenly. Knocked back, it fell to the dirt in shock, although didn't stay down for long.

Scyther used Vacuum Wave! It's super effective!

Raising, the Scyther's bladed arms moved to cross over it's chest, glowing a gentle alabaster for a few moments. Soon, the Bug-Type began spinning around and around, and the end of it's circle culminated in a wave of energy and air directed straight at you.

Judy hesitated in some confusion as the bug type began spinning, but by the time she realized what was going on it was too late to do anything about it. The Kangaskhan let out a roar of fury, putting her had down and her arms above her head as she brace for impact. Still, there wasn't much she could do as the Vacuum Wave's energy washed over her, sending the monster actually stumbling back a step.

She stood there where she was for a long moment, breathing through the pain. That had actually...hurt her. That move had worked too well. With a loud growl of indignation, Judy stepped forward and formed a fist, swinging it forward into the spinning scyther in indignation. "Have a taste of your own medicine" she growled.

Scyther Health - 8/26

Before it could even register what was going on, the Scyther was hit with twice the force of it's previous attack, your fist going into it's lower jaw. Letting out a soft cry of pain, the bug-type nearly lost altitude but quickly recovered, a new fire glowing in it's burning optics. it was injured, but it seemed determined to bring you down.

Much like before, the scythe-like blades began glowing a faint white before the bug-type began spinning around and around, individual limbs blurring into a mass of green. As the spinning reached a crest, a shockwave of air and energy was launched at you, like a hard gust of wind.

For once, the powerful Counter attack hadn't been enough to take down an enemy. Judy only had the time to sputter in shock for a few minutes before the powerful vacuum wave slammed into her again, leaving her momentarily breathless as she took a moment to try and recover from the blow... why was that so darn effective against her?! Growling, Judy braced herself before starting forward again, closing the distance between the pair with a few powerful strides of her short yet strong legs. Her fist glowed with the same light of counter as Judy once again punched the bug type. "Just DIE already!"

Scyther Health - 0/26

The next punch proved to be too much for the bug as your glowing fist slammed into it's face. Finally losing altitude, it's wings stopped their buzz, the Scyther drifting to the grass and falling limp. It had put up a good fight, but ultimately, the stronger Pokemon had won. The fog whisked away the bug-type without further action.

Judy earned 187 exp! Judy leveled up to Level 8!

Judy brushed her hands off for a few seconds, giving a small nod of satisfaction. "Good." she responded primly, though her face was twisted in some concern. It had taken three attacks to down the thing, two of them counters. Judy was supposed to be better than that! She experimentally flexed her muscles, sighng as she leaned against the wall. There was no denying it, Judy supposed with a resigned sigh, the bakery business had left her soft.

Well, that was what she was here to fix. After resting for a few more minutes, Judy heaved herself up with a small huff, continuing down the stairs - let's crank the notch up a bit, shall we?

You walk down the stairs, only to find yourself in another rainforest biome with walls fixed by clumped undergrowth and close trees. The bug-types buzz from the treetops above you, despite having gone down one level. You are alone in a large room.

[Judy]

Judy shook her head in some resignation as the jungle did it's weird ceiling/floor thing where the sky remained exactly where it was even though she had descended. Strange dojo physics... Judy shook her head, running at her temples - she was certain this would end in a headache for her later, even if she did make it down the dungeon without too much damage. Sighing, the Kangaskhan shrugged her shoulders and wandered down the left path, already prepared for whatever might face her next.
