You step into the Eerie Woods with a wary glance around, finding yourself surrounded by nearly rotting trees, so thickly clumped that they seemed to form a room around you. It's a cramped space, for not only is the area rather small, but there is the added capacity of the stairs that lead below into the next floor. How convenient that you showed up right next to them! You could either head down the stairs, or maybe even try exploring the rest of the floor...?

I DON'T WANNA CHANGE THE WORLD I JUST WANNA LEAVE IT COLDER ✿ Judas blinked, shaking his head as the dungeon emerged around him. His fur prickled with unease as the rotting trees and corpses of trees closed in on him, forming a very small enclosed room. Humming, he squeezed shut his eyes as and concentrated on the sound a moment to calm himself. It was a dungeon. He knew it was bound to have a lot of small spaces and tight corridors. That was simply how it worked. But regardless of how he felt about it, if he wanted to get stronger he needed to be here and to do this.   Opening his eyes again, Judas took a second glance around, his golden irises now fully taking in all the details of the room. A path led out, and beside him a roughly made set of stairs descended downwards into the next floor. The stairs were his goal, but for the moment Judas wasn't sure he wanted to take them. Not just yet. The aim of his 'mission' was only on the fifth floor after all, and there was no rush here. Twilight was only just setting in, and Judas was here to train more than he was to simply complete the mission.   Tucking his wings and unfurling them again as he took a few tentative steps towards the corridor, Judas took a breath and steeled himself, his paws padding quietly along the path as he silently began remembering the way back to the stairs for when he was done with this floor. You warily step down a narrow corridor, rotting boughs of the dead trees brushing against your wings and body every now and then. As soon as you round a corner, you find yourself face to face with a Hoppip! It seemed angry, ready to fight. It wasn't like you could get around it either.

WHAT IF I FELL TO THE FLOOR COULDN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE ✿ Shivering slightly as vines and branches brushed against his fur and leathery wings, Judas tucked his limbs close to his body, ducking and weaving slightly to try and avoid the most contact. Golden eyes kept a careful watch on the woods around him, occasionally glancing up as well reflexively, scanning constantly for danger. Between the murk of fog and overhanging rotten wood and undergrowth, it was difficult to see beyond each corner and impossible to see far down the corridor in a straight path.   Following the tightly winding walk-way, Judas recoiled into a defensive position instinctively as he rounded a corner and came face to face with a hoppip, nearly running smack into it even attentive as he was. His reflexes were fast though, and seeing the hostile pokemon it took the noibat only a moment to spring into action, his eyes glancing around to double-check that there were no other enemies accompanying it in the cramped corridor. Finding none with his cursory sweep, his golden eyes locked hard on the hoppip, his ears twitching as small jaws opened to let out a high pitched screech to disorient the other pokemon. Judas used Supersonic! The Hoppip became confused!

The hoppip, growing muddled by the sudden, high-pitched screech, began to wobble around in the short corridor. Even so, it tried to do something.

Instead, the Hoppip just waddled into some nearby thorns, causing it to jump back a little in shock. A perfect opportunity to attack![/div]

I DON'T WANNA CHANGE THE WORLD I JUST WANNA LEAVE IT COLDER ✿ Judas raised a wing slightly to shield his body as the hoppip flailed muddily about, the noibat defending himself in preparation in case the hoppip still attacked. Sharp eyes watched carefully, sometimes the confusion kept them distracted, other times the pokemon still managed to get in some strong hits regardless. He couldn't be sure of what move the hoppip would try and use in retaliation or how successful it would be quite yet.   A few moments later the hoppip blindly stumbled into the 'wall' of the dungeon, the thorn laced wines draped from the tree boughs scraping the delicate grass pokemon as it jumped away in pain and shock. Snatching the opportunity, Judas leaped at the pokemon, throwing himself into it with as much propulsion as he could manage. Hoppip Health - 8/18

The hoppip was knocked back by the sudden tackle, letting out a short cry of pain. It was kncoked to the floor, which didn't seem to help it's confusion. Rising to it's feet unsteadily, it began to waddle towards Judas with uneven steps.

The hoppip simply got it's foot caught on a rock and fell right in front of Judas, causing more pain to it. It laid there for a while, still reeling in dizziness and confusion, before trying to rise to it's feet once more.

I DON'T WANNA CHANGE THE WORLD I JUST WANNA LEAVE IT COLDER ✿ Judas felt his breath halt as the impact hit, the hoppip falling back from the noibat's tackle and falling to the floor hard. Judas himself managed to recover with a few beats of his wings, panic briefly engulfing him as a vine entangled him, but a quick wrench freed him and set him back on his feet. The hoppip had regained it's feet and clumsily approached the noibat who in turned took a cautious step back, wings half-flaring in self defense as the other pokemon unsteadily tottered forward.   Before the pokemon could try any moves it managed to trip, falling prone at Judas' feet, an impressive feat for a pokemon that can hover and glide. But then again, the screech he had given it was enough to leave any pokemon reeling and dazed. Distaste showing slightly, Judas let a small sad sigh escape as the hoppip struggled to regain itself. Knowing it wouldn't survive another blow, he didn't hesitate to throw himself back at the pokemon, seeking to finish it off this time. The hoppip didn't know what was coming; still trying to regain it's balance and recover, it had no time to see Judas' tackle. Knocked to the ground, it looked like the Pokemon might rise again, but it eventually stopped struggling and closed it's eyes. After a second, it disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Congrats, you won your first battle!

I DON'T WANNA CHANGE THE WORLD I JUST WANNA LEAVE IT COLDER ✿ Judas felt the hoppip give under the force of his second tackle, falling immediately back to the floor it had just risen from. Shaking his head slightly to clear it as he stepped back, Judas watched the hoppip blunder for several moments, fighting to find the strength to stand again and keep fighting. Then it gave up trying, the efforts to regain it's feet only seeking to sap what little strength remained. Closing it's eyes, it settled.   And then it vanished. Smoke clouded where it had been, and when the fog dissipated, the hoppip was no longer there. Where it had been the path was clear again. Golden eyes narrowed a moment, and then with a firm shake of his head, Judas pushed his worries aside. It was strange, but in the end it didn't matter. The presence of fog at the pokemon's expiration made him uncomfortable, and he wondered what it meant, but he couldn't worry about these things too much right now. He was in a dungeon, this type of thinking could wait for when he was stargazing. Tenderly stepping past where the hoppip had fallen, the noibat pressed on down the corridor, ducking occasionally to avoid the hanging vines above. Before you could go much further through the winding brush and forest, a Cranidos suddenly charged forward, replacing the spot where Hoppip had once been. It snorted angrily, kicking it's clawed feet in the earth in anticipation. It seems like you could attack first if you were fast enough, because there is certainly no way of getting around this battle.

I DON'T WANNA CHANGE THE WORLD I JUST WANNA LEAVE IT COLDER ✿ Judas barely cleared the spot where the hoppip had been when a crashing from the underbrush ahead pricked his ears. Leaping backwards as he beat his wings reflexively to gain altitude, Judas remembered to his chagrin the vines as his wings nearly got entangled once more. Shaking off his wings furiously to rid his prickling skin of the plants, Judas braced himself as a cranidos charged into line of sight, stopping short as Judas leapt back, the dinosaur instead snorting angrily and gauging the earth with it's claws. Judas made a slight hissing sound in the back of his throat as his fur stood on end. A rock type. Just what he needed.   The type matchups were not in his favor, so Judas knew he had to act fast. Play it safe, same strategy as last time. If he was lucky, the confusion and disorientation from his cry would disable the cranidos similar to how it did the hoppip. Then again, with such a thick skull, who knew if the sound would penetrate as well. But if there was one thing a noibat could do, it was this. Heck, they were practically built to disable their foes with sounds. Twitching his ears, Judas let out a high pitched cry before bracing himself, his mind probing to try and sense any incoming attacks and his posture tensed to spring back or absorb the blow. Judas used Supersonic on Cranidos! Cranidos became confused!
Disorientated by the extremely high screech, the Cranidos began to behave in a similiar fashion to the Hoppip prior the encounter. Beginning to waddle, loud echoes of the screech rang in the Pokemon's head, making it befuddled.

The Cranidos tried to drive it's head in the direction of Judas, but only managed to bang it's head on a sturdy, tough rock. Reeling back in pain, it cried out a bit, trying to cradle it's ringing head.

I DON'T WANNA CHANGE THE WORLD I JUST WANNA LEAVE IT COLDER ✿ A breath of relief passed briefly through Judas as the cranidos began to fumble around. His move had affected it at least, already it was shaping up to be a similar affair as the one just moments ago. Still, the noibat couldn't let down his guard in case an attack still managed to slip through. The rock type could potentially do grave harm to a flying-type like him in a way the hoppip stood little chance of doing. And with the close-set walls of the woods, there was little room to maneuver and almost no chance of flying out of reach.   The dinosaur pokemon lunged forward, and trying to dodge back and finding only wood at his back, Judas braced only to watch the cranidos rush head-first into a rock, an agonized cry rising from it as it cradled itself. Now was not the time for sympathy though, and jumping on the distraction, Judas launched his own attack, the smaller bat pokemon throwing himself at the other pokemon with as much force as he could quickly muster. Judas used Tackle on Cranidos! It's not very effective
Cranidos Health - 10/18
Although disorientated, the Cranidoa barely seemed affected by the tackle employed by Judas, knocked back a little before stumbling back up to him. It seemed the defending Pokemon was a bit more determined now.

Cranidos used Headbutt! It did 12 damage!
Judas Health - 8/20

Despite it's confusion, the Pokemon managed to line up in front of Judas and drive it's head into his ribs, a snarl current on the Cranido's face. It landed a bit behind Judas, although it seemed to be struggling to remain upright.
