The early morning sun did nothing to warm the chill that had spread through the air that day. Sure, it made the effort to beat cheerily down, but the what-would-have-been-warm morning was interrupted by the steady winds that had been blowing all of the morning and the previous night. Aside from being quite loud, the winds had had their fair share in kicking up dirt, grass, and just about everything in the morning. There had already been startled cry from many a flying type pokemon as they found themselves unwittingly knocked into or out of the skies. Still, down by the riverbank was relativly quieter, even if that only meant that it was just a tad less ferocious by the waters than it had been in open sky. Still, the babbling of the river amidst the thunder of noise from above mae for a very loud morning indeed. And morning it still was. While this Roger Torchic fellow wasn't due for at least another half hour, the rest of the pokemon world slowly began its bustle about the river as water types raised above the surface and gossiped with other pokemon, while terrestrial pokemon of all kinds stopped by the river for a quick drink. This early in the day, the river was, surprisingly enough, a hotspot of activity. Which would make it unfortunately difficult to commit a crime in, later.

She held me spellbound in the night The morning carried small bits of chill in it's wake despite being in the heart of the warm Summer months, the wind nipping at the bones of anyone who stayed still for too long. The shades cast from the strong, regal boughs of the willow trees that draped over the rushing river were virtually abandoned, many of the activity taking place in the sun so anyone who still remained outside could soak up any warmth they could get. With the way the wind was howling, there was no doubt that a storm system was slowly rolling over their way, and possibly ready to downpour across Andalusst in the afternoon. While not a perfect day to preform a theft, Olympia had pulled off more difficult feats. The Skitty sat beside the river, a fake, ingenuine smile crossing her face. The outlaw had learned early to act happy and unsuspicious early on, so that when shady things began going down, Pokemon would never expect the small Skitty who had once been rolling a smooth, water-sculpted pebble around her petite paws. So there she sat, the louder-than-usual babble of the river sloshing in her ears while she casually played a game of 'if you roll the pebble into the water, you lose.' Surprisingly, the cat Pokemon got into it a little, taking out more and more pebbles as she idled away the time between plotting and execution. Yes, plotting had always been a strong point for the outlaw, she had already thought up a plan in the small amount of time from when she arrived to where it was now. All she had left to do was wait, but that was her weak point. She was not quite sure why she came 30 minutes early when she could have come five minutes early and gotten it over with, but perhaps it was a nice surprise, to not arrive 30 seconds before she was scheduled to do so. But perhaps it was a nice time to scope out the area; letting the pebble tumble into the rushing, inflamed river, her eyes roamed over the river area, watching the bustling activity of the early morning. She hadn't planned for such a hodgepodge of witnesses, but she was great at improvising, and if they noticed what she was doing at the end, all she had to do was outrun them, @tag 417 muse. some notes can go here. It seemed that innocently playing with a pebble worked like a charm. People smiled and aaawed at the cute widdle skitty playing with her stone before moving onwards, quickly forgetting Olympia had even been there. So far, the mission was off to a huge success. The half hour passed mostly uneventfully as pokemon came and went. There was a brief scuffle between two larger pokemon harking for dominance, and a few bickering birds flew by once, but as the sun rose higher, pokemon began to disperse, off to the guild or work or wherever else for the day. For a while, there was a few moments of comparative silence, the busy bustle fading a bit more into the background noise. It was upon this setting that a larger orange bird plodded towards the river. The Torchic looked half asleep as he plodded down to the river, giving a lazy chirp in response to one of the Seels who rose out of the water to greet him. Sure enough, the little bird had a blue scarf with him, wrapped around his body like some sort of blanky. It wasn't the most fantastic of scarves. Blue and tattered, the thing had clearly seen better days. But that must have been it, for it was rare enough for a fire type to come to hang out by a river, much less one of the exact same species and description Olympia was given. For now, however, the area was still too crowded. The Torchic continued speaking to the Seel, not taking its nap quite yet. And still, there was plenty of activity around the river...

She held me spellbound in the night Her cute act passed with flying colors; not only did others stop to give comments on how cute and innocent she looked, suspicion passed by her, simply because she had began rolling a stone beside the gurgling weather and whipping her tail in a cute, playful way. A perfect ruse, a simple way to redirect tension and watchful eyes, because, of course, a skirt would never steal anything. Just the mere thought made her want to break out in a malevolent smile, but she forced herself to remain calm and continue rolling the stone around her pads idly. If only her victim would roll around sooner, for idling away the minutes by acting cute and innocent was getting boring a tiny bit hard to keep up. She couldn't keep up an act for longer than around an hour, because eventually, her true colors would show. Her eyes roamed the soft, green pastures that surrounded the flowing river, verdant green grasses shifting with the howling wind. Her attention end flickered back and forth until they finally caught on the approaching Torchic, eyes widening in recognition. Even though the crowd had thinned slightly, there was still way too many people. She'd just have to get out of there quickly. Her mind had been made up, just until she spotted the Seel that rose from the bubbling water, beginning to chat with her victim idly. It took everything Olumpia had to not groan in frustration as he continued talking, not even willing to cease his conversation for a nap she was waiting on. Her eyes flickered with fierce annoyance, until an idea sprang into her head. She looked to the side, noticing a group of water-types who were happily gossiping in the water. Eyes widening, she looked back up to the Torchic and rolled the pebble she had beneath her paws into the river, as if distracted by the mere sight of the Torchic. This was going to be embarassing, but money and items would certainly soothe her embarrassment. Padding up to the group in the stream, she contained herself and called out to them with a forcefully meek voice. "Um... Excuse me?" she wondered, glancing down the stream. "I really like that Torchic over there... Umm, I was wondering if you could distract that Seel? I wanted to talk to him alone..."@tag 413 muse. some notes can go here. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

The group of pokemon that were chattering idly upstream barely glanced her way, caught up in the conversation as they were, minus the small adoring smile that broke out on the faces of some of the pokemon that such a cute and precious skitty would come in their direction. When she began to speak, however, a rhyhorn broke out of the crowd to smile kindly down at Olympia. The rhyhorn nearly keeled over from excitement at the request, letting out a huge squeal and reaching out to pat at Olympia’s cheek awkwardly. ”What a precious creature.” she cooed, before nodding, a look of determination on her face. ”Now don’t you worry honey, we’ll make sure nobody approaches you two.” she gave Olympia a wink and said ”Wait a few moments.” before returning to her group. A few seconds later, a voice rose out from a stary the rhyhorn was talking to. ”Hey Roger! Get over here!” The seel’s head perked up at the mention of the name, and he murmured something to the torchic before flopping over, barking a confused confirmation. Whatever conversation the group of pokemon engaged the Seel in definitely had his full attention, leaving the Torchic temporarily alone. The fire type pokemon seemed miffed at being left behind so abruptly without so much as an invitation to join along, but finally he shrugged and began arranging his scarf comfortably around him, settling down on the ground.

She held me spellbound in the night The Skitty nearly broke out in frustration as she realized most of the Pokemon upstream were barely even noticing her, although managed to keep up the act and smile back at those of whom had briefly glanced her way and offered up a grin. Lashing her long tail, her ears perked as she noticed the Rhyhorn who had broken away from the group of chattering Pokemon, wide eyes looking up to the Rhyhorn with the cutest, most hopeful smile she could manage. While she couldn't force herself to be excited about having acted like she had a crush on a pompous Torchic, she was glad everything was working out the way she wanted to. Forcing her head to bow, she responded in a sickly sweet voice, although tried to keep her gratitude seem somewhat genuine. "Thank you!"Eyes following the Rhyhorn, she watched as she spoke to a Starly, of whom had swiftly called over the Seel who had been preventing any further action on her mission. Watching with a malevolent glee flickering in her eyes, Olympia struggled to keep up her cute act when all she really wanted to do was strangle the Torchic with his tattered scarf and run. Giving a fake smile to the Rhyhorn who had kindly made someone distract the Seel, she began trotting towards the Torchic who she needed to steal from, putting on a meek exterior, as so to lower his guards. Slowing as she trotted up to him, she let a shy smile over-take her features, lightly scuffing her petite paws against the soft, green grass beneath her. "Ah, e-excuse me?" she wondered, forcefully throwing a stutter into her soft words. Hopefully a cute act would make it so that he didn't think she would ever steal his precious scarf; well, until she actually did snatch it. "I think something of mine rolled down here... Would you mind helping me look for it?" she asked, wide eyes looking up at Roger. @tag 352 muse. some notes can go here. MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

The torchic seemed less than pleased at having just gotten comfy when he was interrupted. He turned to glare at the offender, expression immediatly softening when he saw the timid skitty stuttering before him. Now he merely looked grumpy and just a little wary as he peered at the shy skitty. "Something of yours? Well, I guess..." the torchic gave a small huff as he stood up again, pacing a few steps over to the skitty. The scarf in question was partially wrapped around one of his legs, but mostly forgotten as he peered over at this new creature. "Where is this something, may I ask?" ( Olympia )

She held me spellbound in the night Olympia watched the disgruntled Torchic with wide eyes, attempting to look taken aback as he stared at her with a grumpy gaze and a frown on his small beak. She began to try and think of something that might've gotten lost around there, whilst waiting for the anticipated reply from the Torchic she was told to be stealing from. Perhaps a pebble? No, what a stupid pebble, no one would possibly ask someone to find a pebble that she could easily replace with a new one from the river. Thinking back, she tried to make up a situation from scratch, perhaps a tale of losing a bow she thought she had secured safely on her bodice. Perfect! Watching him, she let a smile take her face as she witnessed him rise to his clawed feet. "Thanks!" she thanked him with false gratitude, mind still racing as she filled in the small details of her plan. "Ah, it was somewhere around here... I had come here earlier with it, but I only noticed I had lost it a few moments ago... It's a pink bow, do you think you've seen it?" she wondered quietly, padding closer to his side with the explanation that she was looking for her lost item. Truthfully, while she was searching the ground for any trace, she was scoping out his leg to see how tightly the scarf was wrapped around his leg and how easy it would be to simply pull it off. Rising, she looked back to him and smiled, putting in fake concern to her words. Everything seemed to be going swimmingly, but she knew that if she let down her act for one moment, the Torchic would see right through her. "Sorry if I've interrupted something..." she murmured, before turning back and surveying the hills, searching for an escape route once she had secured the scarf. @tag 336 muse. some notes can go here. The torchic stared at Olympia a few moments more before his puffed feathers slowly flattened down again, the pokemon even looking a bit guilty to have made such a cute skitty feel bad. "Eh, well, s'nothing." he mumbled, scuffing his feet against the ground as he trotted forward. "A...a pink bow you say? Can't say I've seen one of those, but, well, it doesn't hurt to look." he nudged around the muddy gorund with his beak, trying to uncover a pink bow that might have been buried.
The scarf didn't look to be very tightly wrapped around his leg at all, just caught on a foot talon and easily pulled free...

She held me spellbound in the night The Skitty inched closer, her long tail waving high in the air as she scooted to a position behind Roger, resisting a smile at finding out that the scraf could easily be pulled loose, perhaps by just one tug. Her sense racing with anticipation, sh tried to keep herself steady, but it was hard, considring she was so close to her goal. She let her facade slip for a moment, now that she was behind Torchic and he couldn't easily see her malevolent features. Ah, he would regret helping the poor skitty, she noted to herself, everyone would. "Ah, well... Truth is..." she began to murmur, her voice sickly sweet as her paws inched closer to his feet, one raising slightly from the ground. She paused for a moment, feigning as if she were looking over his shoulder, to see if he could find her 'missing' pink bow. "Truth is that you aren't going to find one!" with a wide grin of excitement, the Skitty wrapped a paw around the scarf and tugged on it, heart soaring as it went loose and she swiftly wrapped it around her own neck. If anyone tried to take it back, they'd have to strangle her first. Olympia was now dashing off, up the crest of a hill and towards the bustling activity of the Marketplace, her designated place for escape and blending. The tattered scarf streamed behind her as she dashed off, satisfied that she had secured another night of food in the darkness of alleys. She paused as she entered a crowd of people, swiftly smoothed down all disheveled fur, and began to strut forward, putting on another facade to replace the last one. @tag 305 muse. some notes can go here. It took a few moments for the torchic to respond, blinking at Olympia dumbly. He didn't react until the scarf was tugged away, jumping in shock and snatching back at the scarf - but it was too late. The Skitty was already off, scampering away while the rest of the river pokemon milled about in confusion, but no one had quite processed what had happened yet. Olympia heard a few muffled shouts of "Stop! Thief!" from the torchic, but fortunately a thieving skitty was a bit faster than a slightly sleepy bird.
And so she was running, but now came the final challenge of her mission - getting away with it. It wouldn't be long before the rumors of a thieving skitty reached the public eye, so Olympia had to be fast. The note on the Kanga Room's bulletin board had given an address off in the farther corner of the marketplace. All she had to do was go to the address, deliver the scarf through the back door, and she could go to the Kanga Room the next day to claim her reward!

She held me spellbound in the night In a perfect world, Olympia would be able to steal without anybody searching for her, spreading rumors of a Skitty who had snatched poorly placed possessions, or siccing incompetent policemen on her, but unfortunately, it was not perfect. In fact, such a world would be imperfect, although, perhaps perfection was relative. Even so, the cat Pokemon knew she had to be fast. Rumors spread like wildfires around Andalusst, it only took an hour before words of a cute but thieving Skitty was on the lips of worried civilians and explorers alike. They hid their valuables, patted their bags to make sure everything was still there, and it only made her job harder. Oh, what a world she had to steal in. With a sigh, the Skitty caught her breath and kept her chest still, fashioning her new scarf in a way to express that she had bought it with her own money, and, on the contrary, was not dirt poor. The Skitty, once she felt like she had gotten far enough away from the River to begin asking questions, took out the piece of paper in which she had been bestowed with. It gave an address to a farther corner of the marketplace, an area where not many milled about, but some still managed to find their way there. Perfect. She glanced up and quickly stuffed away the piece of paper, looking from face to face with a forceful, wide gaze. If she was not on the watchlist of a few select people, she might've asked for directions, simply to keep up an act, but unfortunately, such was not the case. Instead, the Skitty padded over grimy, lazily cobbled streets as she made her way through the marketplace. She forced chivalry into her voice, using hardly spoken 'thank you's and 'excuse me's as she weaved through a crowd of slowly walking Pokemon. They stepped like sheep or cattle across AppStore, an annoyance she couldn't quite deal with. They'd need to speed up or else Olympia'd lose her mind. meesh361 muse. some notes can go here. Olympia's Starly client was there, dressed in dark paints so no one could easily identify the pokemon and glad to relieve the skitty of her possession. "You've done the world a service today." the bird promised, a dark look on her face as she accepted the scarf and handed Olympia a bag stuffed with coins in return. "Frankly, that fat old bird deserved it."
Odd job complete! Prizes awarded. Olympia
