I'm scared! [Dungeon Thread]

As you enter the dungeon, the two of you find yourself in an ominous forest surrounded by nothing but death. Dead trees, dead flowers, even the grass feels dry and .. dead. 
However, that's the least you should worry about as there's an enemy Yanma flying towards you! 
Lifa's Illusion ability caused it to become a Yanma

As the enemy is faster than the both of you, Yanma gets the first turn!

I'm Scared!

Ok, today was the day that Kaslin was going to make it through a dungeon and he was going to do things right. He had a partner now, there was no need to be scared and no need to run away at the first sign of danger. As the two stepped into the Dungeon, Kaslin smiled at his Zoroa friend this was going to be fun, not scary... Fun. The second they stepped in though the ominous wind that flowed through the Eerie Forest sent a shiver down Kaslin's spine, not wanting to look scared though he took a deep breath and looked back to Lifa.

But immediately the first thing he saw when he looked to Lifa was not the Zorua he remembered from the guild and the Zorua who JUST walked into the dungeon with him. No the Pokemon next to him was not a Zorua but a Yanma and to make matters worse before he could even react to this he heard something speeding towards him, "What is happening! Who are you and where is Lifa!" He shouted at the Yanma next to him before the speeding Yanma tackled him, sending him back a few feet.

Shaking his head an fighting back a few tears he let out a scream "I THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO DO THIS TOGETHER LIFA!" He shouted looking around trying to see where she ha gone but now he was just surrounded by two bug types. Shaking for a few seconds he closed his eyes, a white aura surrounded his body and within seconds rocks raised from the ground around him and were sent flying towards the Yanma that had attacked him.

Lifa Kaslin Used Ancient Power

[Lifa]

I AM WITH YOU, I WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH IT ALL

Lifa smiled back at Kaslin, she sort of felt that he was seeking her comfort before they were entering the dungeon.
Things would be fine, Lifa thought. And thus the duo stepped into the dungeon.
However, things weren't fine as Kaslin suddenly screamed at her, he had no idea what was happening.
For a brief second, Lifa giggled- however the Yanma attacked Kaslin and she immediately growled at him. "Hey! That's mean!" She exclaimed, until Kaslin yelled that they were supposed to do this together.
"B- but we are doing this together?" She said, blinking a few times before actually realizing that her Illusion ability had triggered.
"Oh.. my.." She mumbled, before turning to the Swinub. "Easy there, Kaslin! It's me, Lifa! You see, Zorua's change form in dungeons until they're attacked!" She tried to explain herself, but then she flew back a little as Kaslin used his Ancient Power.
Right, there was an enemy they had to take care of.

Lifa turned to the Yanma, staring at him intensely until the pokémon was surrounded in a psychic aura.

Lifa used Extrasensory!

The Yanma's tackle hit Kaslin full on, and it seemed like the Swinub had actually become confused for a second. 
However the pokémon's defense mechanism had triggered and the Swinub used Ancient Power!

The Yanma buzzed as the rocks were flung against him, the poor pokémon fell down. It was super effective!

However that wasn't all, right when the Yanma thought it was all over, he noticed the other Yanma eerily staring at him. 
getting a little frightened, the Yanma tried to flee despite his injuries. 

However, the Extrasensory hit, and the Yanma disappeared in thin air. 


Congratulations! 

Kaslin and Lifa both earn 105 exp!

Lifa leveled up to 7!

I'm Scared!

Hitting the Yanma with his special attack Swinub opened his eyes to see the other Yanma attack it as well. He shook his head for a second as he listened to it talk, he began to blink an slowly walked towards the Yanma, cautious but he continued to listen to it. "Oh... OH!" He shouted now running back to the Yanma's side and nodded, "I get it. You really are a trickster Lifa."

He shook his head, blushing profusely as he was embarrassed by what he had just done, yelling and screaming like a scared little kid. "I'm sorry..." He let out a sigh before looking around, noticing an item on the other side of the room he ran towards it, picking it up and looking at Lifa. "Do you want to take it?" After deciding who'd take the item he looked around, not knowing which path to take he looked back to Lifa. It seemed like she wanted him to lead so making a decision he decided to take the southern path since they had already walked down that way to get to the item.

Lifa

[Lifa]

Lifa burst into giggles when Kaslin finally discovered that it was her beside him. Well, she didn't blame him for getting confused there. She should have told him that her Illusion ability would trigger in a dungeon.
"Ah.." She managed to stop giggling to focus back on the dungeon. "It's just who I am." She then told Kaslin with a cheeky smile. "Sorry for startling you."

She noticed that he was blushing quite heavily, this was not the progress she hoped for, but then again she should have informed him about her ability in the first place.
"Don't apologize." She then said to the little Swinub. "It was a little silly that I didn't tell you before we went into this dungeon."

However, Kaslin seemed to recover quite well and walked over to the item laying on the ground. Lifa chuckled, shaking her head. "Go ahead and take it. I'll take the next one." Sharing was caring, and despite her rather greedy background- she wanted Kaslin to feel comfortable. Lifa had always been a modest Zorua, even as a toddler.

When the Swinub picked up the item, Lifa followed Kaslin to the south path.

Kaslin received an Apple.

Following the southern path, humongous shrubbery encased their path consisting of twists and turns. But before long they were lead to a rather tight glade. The glade was unusually bright as no leaves were blocking the light from the sun.

Rather quickly, you can spot a Hoppip guarding the area, two items behind her back. One of them looked like a small pile of money while the other was some sort of food. as you entered the glade, it glared at you, but hesitated from attacking. 

A territorial Hoppip but not necessarily hostile. If you leave now, slowly of course, you could get away without a fight.

[Kaslin]

I'm Scared!

Kaslin gave Lifa a small smile as he put the apple in his bag, he did feel a little stupid that he was tricked by her ability but he made himself believe that it was normal. As he slowly walked down the narrow path, flinching at each corner not wanting to run into anything head on he was very carfeful where he stepped as well. His fears subsided as they rounded the second corner, seeing that right in front of them was a very open area, much to Kaslin's happiness his eyes were not playing tricks on him and as he walked out of the path and into the glade where the sun was shining bright on top of them.

His happiness would subside for a second as he noticed a foe standing before them, watching them with what looked to be hatred in its eyes. Kaslin immediately turned to face Lifa to see if she would change forms, knowing that she was with him. This time it was easier, he let out a breath and remembered his training with Vanitas, these Pokemon were not normal, they were corrupted by the fog so it was ok to fight them. Closing his eyes he got a run up and charged at the Hoppip, hitting it straight on with the top of his head.

She watched Kaslin put the apple in his inventory, returning the smile as far as the features of a Yanma would allow her. Lifa followed her partner quietly, thinking about how strong he had just been with killing that enemy Yanma. He was frightened, yet he still attacked the opponent.
This Swinub had more in him than he knew.
The Zorua wondered why that Swinub had hesitated to go into that dungeon in the first place. This one was quite do-able. He didn't need her.

When the duo entered the rather small room, Lifa feared that Kaslin would fall back into his old state and shake.. however, that was not the case at all.
He remained still, much like the enemy Hoppip in front of them. Then Kaslin turned to her, she wasn't sure why he did that. Probably checking if she was still there.
So Lifa did what she thought was best, give him a confident nod.
The Swinub then turned back towards the Hoppip, and to her surprise- tackled it head on.

Lifa's mouth stood agape for a moment before she recollected herself, and then focused on the Hoppip again. Her eyes began to glow in a pinkish color, and soon the Hoppip was surrounded by a strange force.

Lifa used Extrasensory!

Suddenly ambushed, the Hoppip felt the full force of Kaslin's normal attack and Lifa's Extrasensory move, which did not make it flinch however. Compared to Lifa's move, Kaslin only did a fraction of the damage, but the Hoppip was definetly injured... and furious.

Ignoring the weaker Kaslin for now, it became obvious that the Hoppip had no power to call its own when it attacked Lifa with similar desultoriness as Kaslin. Despite being heavily injured, this feral pokemon would not give up its treasure.

I'm Scared!

After hitting the Hoppip square on Kaslin couldn't help but try to catch his breath as he landed back on the ground. His little legs were not the best for this and it took a lot of strength for him to be able to jump with the same amount of power. But as the Hoppip shook off his attack only to be fought back by another one of Lifa's psychic abilities Kaslin couldn't help but smile at the girl who decided to come with him. He could tell that he wouldn't be able to do this alone, the Yanma and now the Hoppip, he couldn't do it his ability to fight was not his strongest suit.

But unlike the Yanma, the Hoppip moved past Kaslin and decided to attack Lifa, immediately after seeing this Kaslin tackled again. "Don't you hurt her!" He shouted once again trying to hit the Hoppip square on and hopefully knocking it out and turning it into the puff of smoke for good. Kaslin would then turn to Lifa and nudge her, "Are you ok?"

The Hoppip decided to go for her, using its base damage to tackle her. Her Illusion ability broke with a poof, revealing her real form. A Zorua. Lifa was barely harmed, really. But she found Kaslin's dedication endearing. "I'm fine," She said with a small grin.
And if Kaslin's attack wasn't enough, Lifa's would. Because she used her own base attack to tackle the Hoppip as well. That should do it.

"Takes a little more than a bit of a nudge to take me down." She said, kind of bravely. However she then chuckled and pushed Kaslin. "I have to admit, you keep on surprising me. We're a good team."
The moment she said that, it dawned on her.
Maybe.. maybe Kaslin and her were destined to form an exploration team? A former outlaw and a shy explorer. Kaslin could guide her in being right or wrong, while Lifa could help the Swinub with getting more confidence.
The idea instantly made her eyes sparkle. "Hey.. Kaslin?" She began, making a twirl in excitement. She hadn't been this frolicky in a while now, her parents disapproved of such behavior. "Would you like to form a team with me?!"

It was too late for the Hoppip to realize that his weak efforts had been in vain, having to sustain damage from both normal attacks of Kaslin and Lifa. And while weak, they were more than enough to make the Hoppip disappear in a puff of smoke to recover wherever he was brought to.

Hoppip fainted!

The glade was now calm, and the treasures of the Hoppip just waiting there to be taken. Taking a closer look, you find out they are 13 poke dollars and a 1 Pecha Berry. Though, since Kaslin and Lifa were taking their time to talk about things... there was no reason to rush. It was a perfect place for relaxation after all.

[Kaslin]

I'm Scared!

Kaslin smiled as Lifa seemed to have taken the attack quite well, he nudged her again in a caring way much like if someone had hands they would put their hand on another ones shoulder. When she simply mentioned them being a good team Kaslin gasped, he had never heard anyone say that to him before and he really didn't think he deserved it. He shook his head and blushed incredibly as he turned away, "T-Th-Thanks Lifa..." He turned and looked at the items Hoppip had been guarding and smiled, they did it.. They had taken out two enemies but they still had to go and find the Piplup, they were close.

Suddenly Kaslin taken aback by Lifa's sudden energy as she twirled and as she spoke Kaslin's mouth gaped open and he took a step back. "Are you serious!?" He was almost yelling when she asked him, he turned his head to look around if anyone was laughing at him, was this all some joke? Was she going to laugh at him if he said yes? This was like when Vanitas asked him if he wanted to go to a dojo together Kaslin was sure there were a group of Pokemon just waiting for him to be happy before jumping out of the darkness.

"I... I... I.." He couldn't say it, the Swinub could not get the words out. He started to shake, his eyes starting to well up as tears formed in the corners. He began to sniffle and by the time he had looked up at Lifa the tears had started streaming down his face. "I would love to! Yes, Yes we should!" He was so happy, the tears continued to fall, happy tears as he began to shake almost uncontrollably, this was the happiest day of his life. "You can have the items too since I got the last one, we can put the money in our team bank." He was so excited, did he finally have a team?

"Umm Umm, Let's go left." He was so excited and ready to get out of this dungeon so they could go become a team.

Lifa Kaslin chose to go down the west path and is letting Lifa take the items.

[Lifa]

I AM WITH YOU, I WILL CARRY YOU THROUGH IT ALL

"I am!" She beamed happily when Kaslin asked if she was serious. They would make a great team! Lifa started giggling at the sight of Kaslin's disbelief, however, stopped abruptly when she realized that it could have looked like she was mocking him.
So she recovered her composure, smiling widely. "I would love to form a team with you, Kaslin. Let's show that Guildmaster we're not pokémon to throw around. We'll become strong, stronger than everyone!"

When Kaslin said that she could have the items, Lifa nodded. "I'll put it in my inventory," She said, picking up the poké and the pecha berry. "I'll use this berry on you if you're poisoned!" Following Kaslin to the west path.
