// For Peace was no more//
I'll help you make start off with a clean slate! But you have to listen to me.
I'll help you make start off with a clean slate! But you have to listen to me.
Lifa , Ryleh
As the Inkay prattled on about whatever it was the ink-fish felt like saying, Domino continued biting down on her share of the apple without even a flicker of emotion in her eyes. Each time Inkay said something that he thought was so clever, and she knew he did, Domino took an especially slow bite, making it as loud as she could make it. She chewed it very slowly, almost ominously, as she patiently stayed quiet allowing the annoying little punk to say whatever it was on his mind.
She was okay with keeping her mouth shut the majority of the time, but the Inkay was so proud of the fact that he had put them in a corner that it made the Emolga almost cringe at how pathetic he really was. He claimed to be such a bad Pokemon, and Domino always knew to look out for herself when it came to him, but now she was almost convinced that he was nothing more than that. A punk.
When he was through with his little speech, she watched as Lifa defended herself with much more class than he had attacking her. The little Emolga’s expression never changed, but it was clear that no matter what the Inkay did, there was little chance that he could win against the Emolga and Zorua alone. The little Emolga knew that this punk thought he was on top of the world, and she had to admit, he was annoying in the most irritating sense.
But did he really think she was impressed? Because she wasn’t, and she hoped he wasn’t mistaken into thinking that she was. The only thing that concerned her was Lifa’s little speech about her reputation. If what this little jerk said was true, making a clean reputation would be even harder with this jerk calling for help on the both of them. Domino, on the other hand, couldn’t care any less about her own reputation. Domino’s blank expression turned into a glare.
The apple was nothing more than half a core, causing that glare to turn into a subtle smirk. After the two were done with their banter, the little Emolga threw what was left of the apple at the Inkay. “You think you’re so impressive, don’t you?” she scoffed. “I’ll have you know, I’m not impressed. You think you’re so much better than me, but if you are, then what’s a so called, strong bad guy, like you, talking about crying for help? That’s just sad!” Domino shook her head at his pathetic display. “You may be right about me, but frankly I don’t care. And however bad I am at what I do, at least I don’t cry for the help of strangers to get my way. I do it myself. I’m not some low-life punk like YOU!”
When provoked, Domino could really talk. Whether or not that was her best interest had nothing to do with it. Then, she glanced at the Zorua. “You want to start off with a clean slate in this town?” Domino whispered to her before giving her what looked like a smirk. It was her own attempt at being friendly. “Then I’ll take care of this. I don’t care about my reputation. If he calls for help, I’ll be the only one attacking. Like I said before, I have my own way of giving the Explorers a slip.”
Hoping that Lifa would take her advice, Domino took a stance against the annoying Inkay and gave a smirk that was anything but friendly. “Alright, Ink-Face! So you want to cause trouble? Want to call for help?” Electricity began to dance around the little Emolga. “No one will come fast enough to save you from this!” And with that, the little Emolga unleashed a ThunderShock at the fish, continuing to hope that Lifa would take her advice and scram. Domino knew she could take care of herself.
