Judy let out a small sigh as the child cubone started crying, mind immediatly searching out for possible answers to this kid's story. Runaway from an abusive home? Orphan? Plain crybaby? Perhaps two of the three? Well, whatever the reason, a simple question had turned into tears. Judy placed a heavy paw to pat the skull on the pokemon's head, patting a few times before removing it. "Enough with that." she said gruffly, but not unkindly. "Yer far too old to be blubbering about there, now sip your tea." Judy wasn't cruel, but she also knew the difference between when a young pokemon needed to cry and when he needed to sniffle his tears and drink his tea, and this was certainly the latter. The emolga seemed to be quite insistent on not being social, staring at the tea. It was the Inkay who finally saved the conversation by answering Judy's question, and the Kangaskhan gave him a respectful nod of thanks. "You can't blame me for being wary in these parts." she shrugged her response, taking another sip of her tea. "This town is an influx of fighting pokemon, not just civilians. They're good for business, sure, but also apt to take the fight everywhere. Well, not in my inn, thank you very much." Judy paused a moment and looked around the place fondly, the pride evident in her face. "This place is starting to build a reputation of being safe for any who step through these doors, and I fully intend to keep it that way." she paused, glancing back at the Inkeh. "Still, I do apologize for my hasty judgement. Thus, the tea." she nodded to the offered drink. Ryleh turned the conversation back to the Emolga now, and Judy followed his gaze to the pokemon in question, raising an eyebrow herself, waiting to hear the response. --- Aiko 's turn!

Aiko sniffled his tears and sipped his tea like the big Pokemon had said. The cubone began to stop crying, and looked at everything he should be happy about. Welllll.... I'm not in the heat anymore. That is good.... Aiko couldn't tell if the Inkay was being honest or not, but the small Pokemon did not care.
Aiko trusted that he was safe under this roof, the roof which covered the inn in which the big motherly Pokemon had invited him into. Although Aiko still couldn't figure out as to why he trusted her more than any of the other Pokemon he had seen in the last few days.
Aiko looked up at the Pokemon. "My... my mommy, well... she's gone...." The cubone immediatly faced back down out of shyness, but did not begin to bawl. He just stared down at his little legs while he sipped more of the tea.

// Confron-tation//Can we talk about something that isn't me?
Aiko , Ryleh , Judy Domino felt a lack of ease once again as an uncomfortable amount of attention was suddenly drawn to her. She had been minding her own business, taking sips of her tea when that Inkay ruined it. It was true she had a bit of a problem with how nice it felt drinking tea, but she’d rather have that then what the Inkay had caused. Initially he had brought the conversation AWAY from her, which was where she thought it should have been. The last thing Domino wanted was anyone talking about her in any way shape or form. However, after the very brief, too brief, chat he had with the Kangaskan, the Inkay brought his attention to her. Domino felt her body tense up, but other than that refused to acknowledge his question. Unfortunately there was a bit of a silence that led up after that question. That could only mean one thing: no one was talking because they were waiting for her to say something. Domino gritted her teeth as she peered over at the other Pokemon. What would it take for them to stop asking about her? “I just came out to think.” she finally said briefly, and instantly dropped it, hoping that would be enough to keep them from prying her to talk about more. Lucky for her, the Cubone began talking, but in a way it wasn’t so lucky. The child’s mother was gone. Maybe she left him, or something else, but whatever it was, he wasn’t with her. For reasons only she knew, this was the only thing that made sense to her to be upset over. Domino had a mother once. A mother and a father. She loved them dearly… But she could no longer think about them. Just for a moment, the Cubone’s sad words made her feel something she couldn’t remember ever feeling. Was it empathy? She couldn’t tell honestly, but one thing she did feel was crystal clear to her: Domino was sad.

In silence, Ryleh observed. His patience had given him an oppurtunity now. An opening in the cubone's emotional framework he could worm himself into. The emolga was as quiet as when it first showed itself, saying only a single ondescript sentence. Ryleh didn't know what to make of the rodent, what emotions bled trough were jumping all over the place. Ryleh couldn't get a good grip on her.
Ryleh flared down his current cheerfullness, he took on an aspect of empathic sadness in his voice. "That's... quite terrible to hear. Do you want to talk about it? it's ok if you don't. We'll understand." The inkay stole a glance at the kangashkan, as if to confirm they were indeed on the same page about this. "After all, this is a safe place for anyone who walks trough the door." He hoped the kangashkan wouldn't mind his stealing her thunder in this matter.
